Arrived about 9PM after a 12+ hour drive. We were asleep when the fire alarm went off around 11:30. Got dressed, trooped outside and waited. Fire department came and went. Staff told us that it was a "false alarm". What they didn't tell us was that the system would continue to go off about every 10 to 15 minutes for the next hour and a half. My brother called the desk at about 1 AM to find out what was going on. He was told that "a technician was on the way". Given that our purpose in staying in the hotel was to get a good night's rest in preparation for the long day we had ahead my brother suggested that the hotel should make some adjustment. He was told he would have to talk to "Rachel" in the morning -- apparently some sort of district manager. Rachel was apparently not on site in the morning and we didn't have the time to make contact. Our second night passed without incident. Rachel did not contact us. When you check in the desk clerk points to a big sign that says one does not have to pay if things are not satisfactory. Well we had paid in advance, expected a good night's rest, and had to start our business the nest day on less than 4 hours sleep. Aside from the fire alarm incident this hotel was above average in most respects. The rooms were very clean (if a bit small) and the beds were very comfortable.

My room was quiet and comfortable. The pool was fun and relaxing.

Great hotel with a good hot breakfast. We enjoyed the indoor pool. Beds were super comfy and rooms were nice and clean.

We started late on our trip and ended up two hours behind schedule. When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk person had a big smile and checked us in quickly. The place was clean, quiet and very comfortable. I will be staying there again when traveling through Abilene in the future!

We come to Abilene to visit our kids. We enjoy our stay at the hotel.

We were bumped from our hotel because we were given a handicap room that we did not request. Never use [...]again. Very disappointed.

Our team booked reservations at the Best Western across the street but I noticed that it had a number of smokiing rooms available on the internet and decided to switch to the Hampton across the street since we had good luck before with Hampton. We slept well, kids enjoyed the pool, and everyone across the street were not thrilled with their choice. I would stay here again without hesitation.

This was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The room is very clean and had real bedding. Perfect size for a family of 4 or 5. I was really impressed to see a real shower head in the bathroom. The kids loved the indoor pool and hot tub. Even the breakfast good, real eggs, sausage and waffles, not toast and donuts others try to pass off. We have family in Abilene and travel there often. Hampton Inn is on our return list.

We got in late to Abilene. The reservations were quick and easy. The staff was very nice and the room was very nice with all the amenities you would need-frig, microwave, coffee pot. The full breakfast was nice as well. Check out was quick and the stay was restful.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this location. Really enjoy Hampton Inn, always clean.

The service was great. The food was average. The rooms were a little too skinny. The rooms were outdated. The bed was not very comfy. Good location. Decent price. The Hampton Inn on the north end is newer and nicer. Was very supprised at how fast the parking filled up.

Not a lot of parking, and spots are too narrow. I drive a nice black vehicle. The lawn sprinklers washed it for me overnight. Water spots all over, and windshield so spotted had to wash it before I drove. Had to go to a carwash to remove the lime deposit "spots" off the paint.

Friendly staff including front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast buffet server.

Room with king and sofa bed was quite adequate and very reasonable, plenty of towels were resupplied every day. Breakfast was excellent, and internet access in dining area with courtesy printer was a very nice touch. Stores and Gold's gym were close, but we used the car to facilitate getting there. Almost within walking distance. It would be nice to have ice service on each floor.

Good location. Well lit building with good parking. Rooms were well appointed with a king-sized bathroom. Honestly, we expected a lot less from Abilene, Texas. But someone was trudging back and forth above us for hours. The front desk hostess was not friendly and unprofessional in manner and dress.

We have stayed here before; the facility is well-maintained and clean. A little hard to find the first time, because it is off the road. Good breakfast.

I was in town to meet my son for Mothers' Day lunch. The location was good for me - near the mall. The room was clean and quiet. The free breakfast was delicious. I would have appreciated an ice machine on my floor, however, but this was really a minor inconvenience. The pool area was very clean and the price of the room was reasonable.

Dear Robert, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at the Hampton Inn Abilene. I'm glad you found our hotel to be clean and enjoyed our convenient location. However, I do apologize for the inconvenience the fire alarm caused. We do take guest safety very seriously, so we must treat every alarm as though it is the real thing. I'm truly sorry this kept you from enjoying your night with us. We hope that if you are ever back in the area, we will have another chance to show you the stay you deserve. Sincerely, Rachel L. General Manager
