Americas Best Value Inn San Mateo/San Francisco140 N Bayshore Blvd, San Mateo 2.0 out of 5.0
Looks worse than it is from the outside. Parking is tough. Neighborhood seedy. On the better side, room was spotless, quiet, comfortable bed, very reasonable cost. I'd stay there again.
Extended Stay America San Francisco - San Mateo - SFO1830 Gateway Dr, San Mateo 2.5 out of 5.0
Simple and private. Room was clean. Bath was clean. Plenty of space for our needs. Kitchen had no equipment but it was ok we weren't planning on cooking. Was in a smoke free room but did have a funny smell when you walk in. Overall average.
Stone Villa Inn San Mateo2175 S El Camino Real, San Mateo 2.0 out of 5.0
HQ for a family visit. Lived in the general area for 20 years and did not know it was there. Set back from El Camilo entrance. It met the need of a place to stay each evening.

At first when I drove up to it I wasn't sure I made the right choice to make a reservation here. But as soon as I walked in I was glad I did. Staff is very nice and friendly.
Los Prados Hotel2940 South Norfolk Street, San Mateo 2.5 out of 5.0
It's a nice little hotel. Not too expensive either. If you're looking for a place to crash after a long day in San Francisco then this hotel is reliable. Only problem I have is the breakfast was weak . Only offered two cereals and some pastries lol
