The Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) is just 3 miles away from downtown, so you can quickly get to your hotel via rental car or taxi. Daytime high temperatures peak at around 80 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer, and in the winter, they usually hover in the low 30s. For 10 days each May, the city hosts the Rochester Lilac Festival, a time for everyone to admire the beautiful flowers and celebrate the spirit of the community around Highland Park.
