It's easy to fly from Washington, D.C., to Austin from Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) in Northern Virginia. A brief three and a half hour flight will take you into the heart of Texas.


The State Capital building is in the center of downtown. Many people like to stop by the historic Driskill Hotel for a drink. A little ways from downtown is the HOPE Outdoor Gallery, a beautiful collection of murals. The city is known as the live music capital of the world. Sixth Street and the SoCo district are popular nighttime destinations, but there are performing arts venues everywhere in city.
