Whether you’re interested in its world-class theater district or its thriving business scene, Chicago provides an exciting escape from daily life in Columbus. As you plan your trip, use Orbitz.com to find flights from Columbus to Chicago and save money on downtown hotels.
The Port Columbus International Airport is located roughly seven miles northeast of the downtown area, just off of Interstate 670. If you’re driving to the airport, your parking choices include shuttle lots, garage parking, and valet parking. The shuttle lots offer the best value, but the valet parking is the closest to the terminal. The Central Ohio Transit Authority also provides a bus that stops outside of the terminal.
Chicago is one of the largest cities in the Midwest and an important American cultural center. With its towering skyline, world-class sports teams, and exciting entertainment options, the city offers something for every type of traveler. Don’t miss the spectacular Cloud Gate sculpture, the Navy Pier, or the lovely Lake Michigan shoreline. Before you can explore, however, you’ll need to get from the airport into the city. Whether you fly into the Chicago O’Hare International Airport or the Chicago Midway International Airport, you’ll have a variety of transportation options. In addition to taxis and rental cars, the CTA train system runs from both airports into the downtown area. No matter how you travel, you’ll need to dress for the city’s weather extremes. In the summer, prepare for days that average 80°F with high levels of humidity. In the winter, come dressed for cold days that average 20°F.
Whether you’re traveling for fun or business, Chicago offers a range of dining and entertainment options to explore. When you book flights from Columbus to Chicago with Orbitz.com, you can also find great accommodation options and book a car rental at the same time.
