Hotel was beautiful and clean and modern. It was however in a terrible neighborhood and the people outside at night were yelling and it sounded like they were throwing things. Pretty uncomfortable with my little ones. We didn’t get much sleep.

The hotel itself was very good, but it’s on the edge of the Tenderloin neighborhood which isn’t good — lots of homelessness, vagrancy, crime, and other undesirable elements. And none of the car services (Uber, Waymo, etc.) would pick up in front of the hotel -- it was always around the corner from the hotel.

This is my go-to hotel when I need to stay downtown or near SOMA. I’ve been coming here since the days when it was The Line (before Hilton took over). The rooms are great, love the toiletries, and the shower has excellent pressure and quick, consistent temperature control. The bed is comfortable, and the AC keeps the room perfectly cool. Staff are consistently great, quick, professional, and genuinely nice people. Cons: as others have mentioned, the area can feel like a scene out of The Walking Dead. I’m a big SF fan, but downtown needs more than just the daily hosing down (which is appreciated, by the way). While the people won’t bother you, the smell of urine and general street conditions can be overwhelming, an assault on your senses. That said, the positives of this hotel far outweigh the negatives of the area, which is why I stay here every time I need to be nearby.

We really enjoyed staying here. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean the staff was friendly. They were accommodating and attentive. The areas surrounding the hotel is a little less than desired, but we expected that being in this area of San Francisco. Other than that I have nothing to say other than positive!

The hotel was nice and clean, so was the room we stood at, it had a larger table and l shaped sofa for us to eat at. The surrounding area was not a good or clean area, we arrived on Friday night around 11:30pm and couldn’t believe how bad the surrounding area was, there is a lot of homeless and drug users roaming around the street, the one good thing is that there is security at the front of the hotel and the limit access to the hotel, you must have a key card to enter.
