We stayed for two nights at Wyndham Garden San Diego Near SeaWorld. The rooms were clean, which we appreciated. Check-in, however, was disappointing. The attendant barely spoke, simply typed, handed us the keys, and offered no instructions about parking, finding our room, or locating amenities like the pool or other facilities.
During our stay, we had to visit the front desk twice because our room keys kept deactivating and would not let us in. The property is also very noisy—you can hear people dragging their luggage on the walkways above.
What I found particularly frustrating was that staff came pounding on our door 40 minutes before checkout to ask if we were leaving on time. Checkout is at 11 a.m., and I don’t see why guests should be disturbed beforehand.
Lastly, parking is $20 per night, which feels steep considering the overall experience.
Overall, while the rooms were clean, the service, noise, and unnecessary disturbances made the stay less enjoyable than expected.
