This place was awesome. Rich (owner) and Angel (prop mgr) were great and easy to communicate with. This was truly a home away from home, everything you would need is here. Spices, coffee, chip clip bags! EVERYTHING. Plus, there was a wonderful gift basket of fruit, chips and a bottle of wine upon arrival. They really are thinking of the guest experience here. You are in the heart of the neighborhood, which includes some of the noises. None of it was bad. At night, we used either the provided Alexa or used our phone for background sleep noise and slept well. Speaking of Alexa, there is one in each bedroom, living room and awesome upstairs deck. Hung out in the hot tub while watching the beautiful sunset/sunrises. There were games, floaties for the pool, movies - anything you need. It is located towards the top of the hill, so put your walking shoes on (if you choose). We got Uber's all the time as well, no issues. Local market near by if you want to stay in and cook (because seriously, kitchen is top notch) or restaurants / taco and churro stands near by if you want to get out there. 100% recommend and we will definitely be back. (Ate every damn hotdog on the plate) heh.

The location was perfect blocks away from the market, downtown and the beach. The view is amazing saw Moma whale and calf breaching with a simple travel set of binoculars I took. The condo is one of the cleanest I have ever stayed at. They provided housekeeping mid stay and the service was exceptional. Condo is well stocked, the heated pool and patio are really nice and new. The private patio upstairs was my personal favorite. It is lined with beautiful pots and plants it is shaded, has a bathroom, a bar, music player and has the best view. No reason to leave the condo

Everything about this property id amazing!!!! Angel and Rich are some of the best host ive been around. The condo is well stocked, very clean and exactly like the photos!!! The location is fantastic, as well as the residents and neighbors of the building. By the time we left, we knew everyone in the building by name!!! The property sits right on a hilltop which gave us amazing views. We will definitely be staying here again, how could we not? The property is amazing!!!

Everything you might need was in the kitchen and extras. There is a Ley Supermarket maybe six blocks away we went to many time. When you go out the door from Ley there is a cart that has soft serve ice cream cones. My wife and I always got an ice cream almost everytime we walked by. The place was awesome even though lightning took out the WIFI for our whole trip. Just used my wives cell phone as a hot spot so I could work and we could stream movies on the TV. We will definitely stay again. You can walk quickly to downtown and if you need to go farther, it is just 4 blocks away to catch the bus for 10 pesos.

Lovely apartment, great neighborhood

We loved staying here. It is exactly like the pictures and the apartment was clean and well-stocked. Angel was wonderful at our check-in. The neighborhood is definitely gentrifying but still felt authentic, and you are just a short walk from the beach and amazing restaurants. One thing to be aware of is that there are a lot of barking dogs in the neighborhood. We got used to it but if you are a very light sleeper you may want to make sure you bring what you need to get sleep.

Great Penthouse in a great area!

Our stay at this Penthouse in Cinco de Diciembre was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, We were impressed by the entire place. The location is great just a 10 minute walk to the beach, great restaurants & bars, along with local shops. The neighborhood feels safe and vibrant, with lots of local charm. Our nightly stop was El Anzuelo (The Hook) right by the beach on Honduras, The owner Miguel is a great guy and all the patrons were super friendly.The property itself was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The kitchen was stocked with utensils, pots, & pans, making it easy to cook when we felt like staying in. The living room had a comfortable couch and a large TV, which was perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. The outdoor terrace was a highlight, offering a private area with a fire pit, hot tub, & grill to enjoy the warm evenings and the view of the surrounding area.The property manager Angel was incredibly helpful and responsive. He arranged transportation to and from the airport, then met us at the property to give us a walk through. Angel was quick to respond to any questions I had, making the whole experience seamless.Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better stay! If you're planning a trip to Puerto Vallarta, this property in Cinco de Diciembre is the perfect choice for comfort, convenience, and a taste of local life. Highly recommend!

As promised!

We had a wonderful stay. This was our 4th visit to PV, and easily the best combination of lodging and location. The condo is light and bright with great views day and night. It comes well-stocked with plenty of extra towels, a full kitchen, and coffee. The location is very walkable with a nearby market and great restaurants; checkout Meno’s, Azul Celeste, and Cookie Star. An easy 30-minute walk gets you to the Romantic zone. We really enjoyed the private rooftop terrace, although the common area pool was barely used by any other guests. The washer and dryer were an added bonus. We are already planning to visit again next year.

Great place in downtown Puerto Vallarta

Great place in PV - penthouse with great views. restaurants in walking distance, best restaurants within 20 minute walk, Zona Romantica within 30. On the top of a steep hill so be ready. Neighborhood loud, especially on Xmas eve when our neighbors partied until 4 am. Only issue was the water pressure varied some. We'll go again!

Loved this special, wonderful place!!

We usually stay in Zona Romantica a bit further south in PV but decided to try something new. We loved this place, as well as the neighborhood 5 de Deciembre. The penthouse condo is amazing! Very light and bright, great layout with the living room, dining room, gorgeous kitchen - all with great views over town and the ocean beyond. Two king bedrooms each with its own bathroom were great! Plenty of room for clothes and stuff, lots of hangers in the closets, comfortable beds, nice sheets and pillows which was awesome. I’m picky about beds and pillows. Location was super. We love to walk, and walked all over town, down to Dee’s for coffee and fresh raspberry scones and cinnamon rolls! Walked to arts district and ArtWalk which was fantastic. Good restaurants all over the place. We liked having Meno’s on the next block as they had dependably great breakfast and dinner and impeccable service. It was handy having it right there, and again great views! Yes it’s noisy in PV. That’s part of the experience being someplace different and full of life! We brought a little Bluetooth speaker for white noise at night and worked like a charm. Owner/manager just wonderful - we can’t wait to return! Thank you Rich and Angel!

Above and Beyond

The pictures on VRBO do not do this condo's location justice. The views, especially the sunsets were spectacular. Having our own private terrace above the condo elevated (no pun intended) the experience and as a result we spent every morning and almost every evening enjoying the scenery. The location was perfect because we were within walking distance to local markets, grocery store, and many restaurants and food stands. We were able to cook many wonderful meals as a result of easy access to food. The condo itself is modernly finished but remains cozy and inviting. Everything was clean and no bugs. A nice perk was the location of the pool just 4 steps down from the condo and although the pool was so close, we were never disturbed by anyone enjoying the pool and deck when we were not. Security was not an issue, as access to the building is truly restricted to only those staying there. We always felt safe regardless of the time when walking the streets. Speaking of walking, the streets on either side of the condo are steep, and a great source of exercise. We would occasionally see people taking a break half way up the hill. By the time we left, the hill was easy to manage and a great source of exercise, especially after some awesome local tacos. Our only complaint is that the condo is not available for the same time frame next year! Its already booked.

This just might be my new favourite place to stay! Lovely penthouse and rooftop, exactly as described. Very well equipped and super comfortable. Perfect for sharing with friends, as both bedrooms are identical. Lots of good restaurants in the area.

It is Truly Heaven!

You will not at all regret your time at all at un Regalo Del Cielo. This penthouse condo was everything and more and it was the perfect place for our group of four to ring in the New Year in Puerto Vallarta. You will certainly enjoy the modern layout of the condo with all its amenities and the private terrace will be the absolute perfect place to hang out and work on that sun tan, drink some margaritas and just enjoy the beautiful views and weather of Puerto Vallarta. Pictures don't do this place justice, and you will find yourself wanting to stay forever and never leaving! Communication with Rich and Angel was seamless, they took care of everything for us, from advance grocery shopping, to welcoming us at the penthouse to booking in-house private massages for us. Definitely book this place, you will love it!

Cannot wait to visit again

I could not love this condo more! The view from both the roof and the penthouse are unlike anything I’ve experienced. Sunsets from the roof are spectacular with each day better than the last. We actually need to plan another visit to explore PV more because I never wanted to leave the condo. It provided the perfect R and R. Angel, the property manager, was kind and knowledgeable. He was responsive to our needs and made check in and check out move smoothly. Laura outdid herself with the property’s cleanliness. Rich, the property owner, communicated well making sure that we were prepared for our stay and accommodating any initial needs upon our arrival. As our first family VRBO experience, this team has set the bar high! One recommendation- when we return, we will not rent a car. Uber is a much better option as parking around town can be challenging.

A needed time in a wonderland

At age 90 and after a heart procedure, this penthouse was my ideal stay. The view is outstanding. The kitchen is FULLY stocked with everything you might need, The three LARGE TVs and the privacy are superb. This property is a plus - PLUS PLUS

Great place!

Vert clean and spacious. It's the penthouse unit of a small apt bldg. The pool is shared with other units but there are blinds to block the windows. It was seldom used by few adult people and wasn't a problem. The unit is at the top of a steep hill and getting to town was about a 15-25min walk, depending on where you're going. Dogs are barking throughout the night but they offer ear plugs which help. Elevator or stairs available to top floor. Otherwise, super clean and all the things you would need. Beds were great, towels smelled good. Roof deck has a great view. Really nice place!

A great stay in a fantastic home

We had a great time staying in Rich's condo. Rich, Angel, Laura, and Juan Carlos were all fantastic at every step. They were all very responsive to all our questions and any issues we encountered. The unit is as beautiful as the pictures show it. It was also extremely well stocked with everything needed to enjoy our stay. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and fire table every day of our stay. There are also a bunch of great options for healthy food close to the unit. We highly recommend "The Green Place" if you like great tasting vegan options. As a few others have pointed out, the condo is located in a somewhat residential area of Puerto Vallarta. There will be some noise from doggies, street vendors, etc., and the walk up the hill could be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. We also experienced a few relatively brief periods without water in the unit. Rich, Angel, and the on-site property manager were all very responsive to this situation. I mention these items only to make sure potential renters aren't surprised by minor issues. I try to approach life with an appreciation that if my "glass" is 95% full and 5% empty... it's pretty easy to enjoy the 95% and ignore the 5%. If that's how you approach things, you'll have a great time in this fantastic condo.

Little piece of Heaven!

Our stay was fantastic and the rental had absolutely everything we needed and more! it was so wonderful to have the rooftop to ourselves and the pool mere steps away. We have been to many rentals over the years and this place tops the list! We will definitely be back! Although you are not on the beach it is a short walk to the beach but remember what goes down must come up and there is a very very large steep hill before getting to this condo however you truly get an advantage, during the day you can see whales jumping if you are staying in March (most active) and the most beautiful sunsets at night as well as seeing the beach but also the city and all it's beautiful lights it is well worth the walk up the hill every day! ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

Great Stay

If you are looking to experience PV like a local but in 1st class accommodations, this place is for you. The property has everything you could possibly need, in a great location with incredible views. Smooth check-in process, good communication, and they coordinated airport transportation. There is some noise from construction and dogs but it's expected as you are in the city, not some resort. EVERYTHING is close, beach, grocery store, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, Malecon, that's if you want to leave the place. The shared pool is steps away, private patio with chairs, hot tub, etc make it tough to leave. Felt very safe the whole time. Would stay here again next time in PV.

Fabulous penthouse condo

Really can’t say enough about this fantastic light filled, airy penthouse condo. Great views from the private large rooftop too, which also gets plenty of sun throughout the whole day (and shade if necessary). All appliances and (private) BBQ are top notch quality. Bedding and towels were higher end materials and very comfy. Pool is shared, but often not always in use from other residents. Hosts (Angel and Chris) were super attentive, responsive and gracious. Can’t wait to book again. Definitely will be back. Thank you!

We WILL be back!

This exceeded all of our expectations. First of all, Rich reached out to me prior to the trip to answer a question regarding a flexibility request. He was unbelievably accommodating and I immediately felt great about the trip. Angel was the property manager and I'm pretty sure we could have hung out with him all week--what a great guy. The condo was incredible with more than enough inside (they even had weighted blankets!). The terrace was out go to place for our family to hang out and a day didn't go by where we didn't walk down the street for taco carts. We will absolutely be staying here on our next visit.
