The staff is super nice and accommodating. Their shuttle service went above and beyond in taking us around. The room was nice, modern and super clean. The food was fantastic.

Good location. The hotel is not that far from the beach/ferry. I like that it was quiet and that it included a hot breakfast. The room was clean, beds were comfortable. The only thing I did not like was the moldy smell in my room. I brought that smell with me home :/

The property itself was not bad. The rooms were of a good size. It was the dressing of the rooms. Towels were old, stained and had holes. Shower curtain was hanging literally by threads. Sheets and covers were old and stained. Curtains and furniture had paint stains and paint drops on them. Furniture was old and losing its veneer layers. Staff did what they could with what they were given.

Not a good choice!

Its really run down! The sheets, towels, pillowcases, Floor mat were worn down and dingy gray. The pillowcases had holes in them. I actually took 1 down to show the front desk clerk. The sink faucet was so clogged that the water didn't run; it sprayed! When it was a holiday inn express it was better! Its not a hotel that we would stay in again.

The staff was very friendly. There is a lot of people that use the breakfast. You may be in a lineup to get in if they’re doing a tour. Iowa State here before and it is a little ways away from everything. The rooms could use some upgrades.

Staff was nice. Huge breakfast buffet. Place is clean. Nice area, quiet, very lush garden area. Only negative I had was they didn’t have the air conditioning on in the fitness room. Also the building itself could use some repairs. I’m a home remodeling contractor maybe I noticed things others wouldn’t.

Terrible smell on the hall in the first floor and the product / items of shower there’re is no body soup liquid The towel were terrible the curtains in the shower looks worn , so you should do make over immediately !!!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Wyndam Garden. Check in was smooth and all the receptionists through the week were kind and helpful. They all spoke at least a little English so we managed with communicating. The room was spotless, everything worked, including the AC. The bed was comfortable, the room was cleaned and made up every day. The swimming pool was not large, but clean and cool as it was shaded a good part of the day in February. I think we were there during a Mexican school holiday because there were quite a few families staying. That may have been the reason for the strange shortage of towels. There were a few restaurants within a short walk, we loved Don Sirloin nearby, and there was a Chaudry supermarket nearby with everything you could need. We didn't have a fridge or a safe in the room, but we could leave a few food items in the fridge at reception, and we left our passports etc. in their safe when we were outside the hotel and collected them when there. There was a tour desk in the lobby, and taxis readily available. 150 pesos anywere in the downtown zone. The main free beach, Playa del Carmen, and the small free area vccvcbbjfvcaaas dof Playcar beach And finally, the breakfast buffet was extensive, generous and delicious. It included fresh fruit, cereal and pancakes, eggs, and a variety of cooked dishes with vegetables and chicken or beef. Overall we were very hapy with pur stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again

When we entered the lobby, the smell of mold was strong. We thought that perhaps there had been some flooding in the area, but the clerk said it was just humidity. We were assigned a room on the first floor and the smell of mold was so bad, I couldn't breathe. (I have asthma.) The clerk was apologetic and gave us a room on the second floor. That room didn't have quite as bad a smell, but there was still some odor. Upon return to the US, my CPAP machine came back reeking of mold and I had to change the filter, hose, and mask. The tank had to be bleached. We had already pre-paid and it was late, so we decided to stay. Imagine my surprise when I turned down the bed covers to discover a used tissue in between the sheets. We slept on top of the covers and in the morning took all of the linens off the bed. There were two bath towels and one hand towel for us to share. The good parts of the hotel were the front desk and breakfast staff. They were friendly and helpful. The hotel also provided 2 free bottles of water per night since the tap water was not safe to drink. That's common in that part of Mexico and the hotel made coffee, tea, and other beverages with filtered water. It could be a great hotel, but they have to clean the air system to get out the mold.

If you are going to stay more than 4 days take into account that the breakfast is the same every single day, which it ends being boring. There is not variety how the eggs are cooked. The infrastructure is cheap, bed frames unstable, no fridge in the room. No good ventilation in the rooms. You cannot open the windows so your beach clothes never get dry. The service is excellent as well the cleaness of the place.
