Do not believe any positive reviews. Simply put, this place is disgusting. Not just dirty. Not just rundown. Not just outdated. I would perfectly be fine with any of that. I don't need white glove service or top tier amenities. But this place is putrid. And it is grossly misrepresented here on hotels.com. I stayed exactly 15 minutes before packing up and leaving. And I've been fighting with this website ever since for a refund. For starters, the hotel looks completely abandoned. So much so that you'll think you're in the wrong place. My non-smoking room reeked of cigarettes. Not a faint tobacco smell. People were absolutely smoking in there. Probably for years. None of the lights worked. The door frame and molding were pulled away from the wall. Everything was filthy and the sheets were covered in brown stains. Read that again....the sheets were covered in brown stains. Check other more reliable sources (Google reviews) for a more accurate representation. The reviews here are not just phony, they are ridiculous. Do not stay at this motel.

Opening weekend at Helen 2025 Oktoberfest

Hmmmmm. A towel and a sock in one of the drawers. Interior front door lock wouldn't lock (Rm 214). Pot smokers underneath or next door. Pool hasn't been opened this year at all (according to staff). Short distance to the festhalle and downtown shops which are easily walkable. You're going to get what you paid for here. Room is cheap and really need to be updated

Management staff- so very nice and helpful! Room was clean and bed comfy! Very few choices due to limitation of stations but of course that is no fault of on-site management. Overall a very pleasant stay with the best part being the staff!

We had some difficulties figuring out how to get the TV set up so we could watch it, and also we had to figure out how to get the channel listing to show. We feel that this is something we should not have had to figure out. It should have already been set up so we could watch TV right away.

This hotel allows long term rentals and the owners live on property. There was a fight and police had to be called to escort a couple of people off the property. I was told by other locals it wasn’t uncommon. However. The bed was clean. I did a bed bug check and it came back clean. So it served my needs for one night stay. Although the outside of the building needs work. The room was clean. Just a little outdated and run down.
