This house is pure heaven.it has everything you could ever need in this house. It is decorated beautifully. The best part of this house is you will see the most beautiful sunsets and sunrise. I wish we had been there more than 3 days. We will be back.

The location is perfect! We were in a beautiful, peaceful neighborhood on Boothbay. We enjoyed views from the windows all around the house. The house's interior is very comfortable and tastefully decorated to reflect the charm of the area. We had a few concerns, which we reported, but which were not addressed while we were still there. If not for those concerns, we would give this home a 5. We would definitely return in the future.

Lovely home with fabulous ocean views

Situated at the end of Ocean Point, this house has fantastic views and is so close to the ocean that we could hear the rhythmic sound of the surf all night long. The house is also extremely tastefully designed throughout, making it seem much more like a dream home than a holiday cottage. Overall, it's one of the nicest places we've stayed, and we hope to be able to return for another visit.

Beautiful home

We loved this place. Even better in person than the pictures. Gorgeous setting on Ocean Point in a quiet neighborhood. Very nicely appointed, it meets all your needs and when the thermostat acted up the property manager was quick to respond and provide space heaters until hvac could come the next morning. We highly recommend and will stay here again.

Nice location and house.

Great place for kids to play on rocks. Location was secluded from tourists. Freezer didn't work, but had travel cooler and made it work. Some high-school kids showed up for several hours horsing around near the public parking spots, but nobody got hurt and eventually left. We noticed many people had the exterior house lights on during this period, but all went off when they left. Interior is stunning. House was inspirational for a beach home. Overall, a bit pricey but feel we overspend on a lot so it's our own doing. Glad to have rented this place and probably will do it again.

The Best View Ever!

We stayed four nights as it was our first time seeing the coast of Maine. The weather was cold but that was the point, we wanted to experience this in the winter as that’s when it’s quietest :). Bottom line, we had the best time and truly relaxed as the home is exactly as you see! Though there was a terrible storm swell that hit the coast back in January, the house is unscathed and was in perfect condition. There is some road damage from the storm but you can easily drive and walk and just enjoy the beauty that is literally right off the front yard. Beds were amazing, super cozy, and the upstairs and crows nest are so cute! We will absolutely be coming back, thank you so much for opening your home to us!

Great Stay!!

Location and home on point w/ sweeping waterfront views!! Before checking in, I was concerned due to reading some concerning reviews before our visit. Fortunately, they were pretense reviews - those reviews should be ignored. We felt at home the entire time during our stay, the property was clean and my daughter loved the games shelf. We’re grateful that this property was available and had a great stay! Thank you!

This year was disappointing due to needed repairs

My husband and I have rented this house twice for extended stays. I concur with others, the location is amazing and if you love Maine as we do, this is a marvelous location. We believe this was a very fine home when it was new, however, it is becoming very very run down. We see that the management co has been promising updates for a while, but in the year since our last visit many things in the house have stopped working or are being neglected. The freezer is not freezing, cabinet doors falling off, missing kitchen equipment, etc etc. we finally went out and bought a Keurig because the old one stopped working. The house is very filthy: windows were so dirty we couldn’t see our, sofas are ready for the heap, the carpet (although very fine) is filthy. The ceiling stains are worse this year and moldy, showers need retiling bec of mold. This is all disappointing when the pictures are from several years ago, but arrive to find all these issues. We have reserved the house for 2 weeks and can’t get a refund to go elsewhere. All this and the rental rates and fees continue to increase. The management company is doing a horrible job with this place. Their “fee” was almost $1000 for next year, but I don’t have confidence that it will be better for another stay. When we texted them to let them know about freezer we never heard a word back.

Beautiful location

The property was in the perfect location. The house was perfect for our family, including a nice open kitchen and dining room table for meals. The property manager was available during the hurricane, which was very helpful! Would definitely book again.

A gem in need of attention

A well designed home with wow factor, mostly because of the spectacular location on the ocean. The house understandably shows wear and tear after seasons of renters and needs a lot of attention to the interior and exterior, including broken doors, windows and cleaning. We love this home and will return but hope that it gets the repairs and upgrades it deserves. It is a gem.

August on Ocean Point

As others have said the view is amazing. The neighbor hood is great. Others said furnishings were worn, but I found them suitable. I did not like working with Vacasa that also charges you fees. I made a report with them the first day about uncleanliness, black mold and leak in upstairs bathroom, and misrepresenting size of loft beds (I sent photos). They never got back to me or took care of a thing. I bet the owner isn’t even aware of it. Property and location are amazing, but I would not want to work with Vacasa again. Paying them and VRBO and no one helped us.

Enjoyable Stay, With A Few Issues

Pros: This house has the perfect location in picturesque neighborhood that is only 15 minutes from downtown Boothbay Harbor. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood, and everyone was very friendly. It's also the prime spot to watch the sunset. The house is well maintained, clean, and well stocked with everything we needed. Cons: There were several issues with the bedrooms. The beds were quite soft (we prefer a firmer mattress) and the bedroom shades didn’t block much light, so it was bright very early in the morning (5 am). If the owners fixed these issues (black out shades in the bedrooms and better mattresses) we would gladly return because we really liked the Ocean Point neighborhood.

not impressed with property manager

The location was great. The house was nice but not as nice as expected. The pictures were taken with a lens that makes the rooms look bigger and more impressive than they really are. So walking into the house for the first time was disappointing. The original responses from the property manager, Vacasa, were scripted. They didn't seem to know that actual house at all. When I did have an issue , I had to send/leave several additional messages before getting a response that made sense. And I did not appreciate getting a call from them at 10:30 at night. There was no need for that.

Peaceful and Tranquil with a Hitch or Two

We had a family mini-reunion and enjoyed our stay. There were a few maintenance and accoutrement issues that caused a problem or two (blinds, front door, no wine glasses and very few tumbler glasses) but generally, the property was mostly as listed. Clean and the location cannot be beat with stunning views and proximity to the coast-line. Peaceful and tranquil describes it well, for the most part.

Great spot but needs some attention

This was my family's 2nd visit to this house. My kids love climbing on the rocks on Ocean Point so there is really no better venue, but frankly if there had been another option I would have taken it. The house needs some attention. Everything was clean, but in need of some updating. Living room furniture is worn and should be replaced. There were 3 non matching wine glasses - one of which was cracked. Water glasses were also very sparse. If 8 adults actually stayed here they would need to buy a lot of stuff to drink out of. The kitchen cookware is pretty sparse and in rough shape. Utensils and utensil storage is random, disorganized, and incomplete. No salt, no cooking oil, few useful spices.... No niceties that you find in other rentals at this price point like a nice note and coffee or something welcoming. Zilch. Also, given the price point (very high) what is provided to you as a guest is really not market. The most glaring example was the kitchen dish sponge - or the half a kitchen dish sponge. Literally the sponge was cut in half through the wrapper. The other half was not provided. Seriously? One roll of terribly useless paper towels...one. Toilet paper was painfully (literally) bad - had to buy our own. Bath soaps provided were comically small....again - one per shower. Instructions (wifi, tv, etc) also out of date and incorrect. Window blinds should be added to the living area.The magnificent view makes up for some of these issues, but not all.

Stunning views!

This property is absolutely amazing. From every window you can see the water. The neighbors were all lovely and welcoming. The house is well maintained, comfortable and clean. It’s too bad it’s not managed by the owners as it would be a more personal experience. Vacasa was not easy to communicate with. There was very little information about the property and no instructions for check-out. Fortunately the house, views and town made it 100% worth the trip!
