-Terrible climate controls in room left it either too hot or too cold with air blowing directly at bed with no way to change airflow besides turning it off entirely. Windows were bolted shut. -I was erroneously charged five hundred dollars because of a mistake made by them because they didnt realize I used Orbitz -- this affected my finances during my trip and ultimately left me very unhappy and with a messed up budget for my vacation. I was also charged for a valet service never used. I was refunded for both of these things (72 hours after checkout, which is too long) but it SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. -The bed was way too soft with very low quality pillows. -When ordering room service they gave a broken bottle opener and had the audacity to imply we dont know how to use it and actually tried demonstrating on a bottle in front of us until they finally realized to retrieve a new bottle opener. - I will absolutely not be staying here again and will not be suggesting it to anyone I hope the hotel sees this and somehow rectifies the situation -- i really received terrible service and nothing but problems.

Very nice! A little loud from the hallways. Nice to have the parking in/out privileges in the garage next door.

Convenient with valet parking and onsite food and beverage. As always - the Westin heavenly bed is awesome!

This is the 3rd year my boyfriend and I have stayed in the hotel. My cousin lives in Portland and we visit her on Thanksgiving. We originally chose this hotel because it is dog-friendly and central. We didn't even bring our dog this year but chose to stay here again because of the great experiences we've had. Great rooms, friendly staff and one of the most central hotels around Portland. Count us in again for next year!

We were planning to have Thanksgiving dinner at the wonderful C2 Restaurant located at the Westin so we decided to stay there. The room was spacious but the heat was quite noisy. I highly recommend the restaurant and they have a free shuttle to the jet port, which is a nice touch. But in room wifi costs ridiculous money. Silly

My wife and I stayed here for three nights. We booked the hotel via Orbitz on line We were not immediately made aware of the additional costs for parking. Parking per night was not included and very rxpensive. It's a pretty bad area. There are many homeless people walking the streets. The hotel was very nice, with the exception of the sex stains on the comforter blanket on the bed, the urine stains around the toilet and the hair in the shower. Wifi is an additional substantial fee, unless you join the SPG club for free. I was still billed for wifi until I requested they remove it from the invoice. Nice hotel, bad area due to an abundance of homeless people who need drugs, the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. It took them two days to remove the urine stains I pointed out. I did not ask for a discount due to the stains on the blanket, but I think they should have done something about it on their own Orbitz has now forced me to revise this review 4 times and exclude photos of my experience. Let's see if this one meets their guidelines. No profanity was ever used. "Don't mention specific prices or room rates Leave out any profanity Don't reference personal information Exclude photos containing inappropriate or unrelated content"

Coffee maker not working properly. No frig. No room for bags. Staff nice but didn't know area well.

Checked in was asked if wanted an upgrade with a better view. We had booked a king room. The upgrade they stated had a great view and two queens. The room was tiny and they were fills not queens. We called down to desk to ask for king room back and was told all sold out. Went down to front desk they corrected it and said we would get another upgrade. This time was a king however the wind was blowing and our room was right where the flags are so we didn't get any sleep due to the very loud clanging of the flags

This was one of the grand old hotels of Portland called The Eastland (and there is still a big bright red sign that says Eastland on the roof top, so if your are walking around town at night looking for your room at Westin Harborview, keep that in mind). Westin took over and renovated it sometime in the last few years. The room was nice, and there was'nt a lot of street noise from Portland night life that I had read about some of the old port hotels. The Westin is still close, about a ten or fifteen minute walk to the harbor and old port. A good location, I enjoyed my stay.

The hotel was clean and newly renovated. The rooftop bar is very nice. Parking is a little difficult.

Outstanding service attentive staff perfect accommodations well located in the town.

This hotel was very clean with a lot of great ammenities. The bar that sits atop the hotel is amazing with gorgeous views. Overall a very pleasant stay.

We wanted to spend a night in Portland. This place was a great place to stay. It was right in the downtown, so that was convenient. Granted, we chose one of the coldest nights to be in Portland, but the food was delicious down at the Hotel restaurant and so were the drinks. Room was a pretty good size, very clean and quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a very nice hotel with a first rate staff. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Location is central and within walking distance of many attractions. Valet staff is excellent. The gym is well equipped. The shuttle service is great.

Hotel charged my card upon checkin for the full room rate plus a hold in case despite the fact that we paid the room in full. When I inquired why this was, the manager on duty was completely rude to me and told me there is nothing he is going to do for me. He told me it was fault of this site as they never sent the advance deposit. The overnight manager (Maz) actually threatened to hang up on me simply for asking about this matter. We ordered breakfast in the morning and it came to the room cold and with out ketchup, salt, pepper, butter for the toast nothing. The valet parking was a joke and we waited over 45 minutes for our car even though we called ahead. The rooms here are very nice, the staff is unprofessional, rude and an very big letdown especially for a chain hotel we have normally had a great experience with.

The hotel - from the friendliness of the valet staff to the absolute beauty of the 15th floor lounge - perfect from start to finish.

the westin portland harborview is a tough one to describe... there's so much to like, but there are also some glitches. rooms are cool and comfortable. best-designed hotel shower i've ever had anywhere in the world in our room. stellar concierge service (thanks, harold!) with perfect dining recommendations and connections for last minute reservations. downfalls include a rather ragtag approach to bell service, and haphazard room service for a simple pot of coffee that took required 3 calls before delivery. kudos to mgmt. for comping that service without being asked to, and for the offer of additional loyalty points over and above that! these folks aim to please, so i'm betting improvements are just ongoing in the beautiful new property. we had a very nice stay overall!

Perfect location, walking distance to everything. The valet parking is the only way to go. Just notified the the desk 20 min earlier. Great roof top bar and it's the only one in town.

nice hotel new new parking is $21.00 per day wifi ic $8.00 per day.

We loved our stay at The Westin in Portland. The decor was beautiful and the staff was amazing. Our rooms were so nice, a bed you melted in with plush pillows, the bathroom was gorgeous and the shower - I never wanted to shut the water off! The shuttle service was a added bonus- it took right to the party we were in Maine to attend and picked is iup and brought us safely home. The top floor housed a beautiful restaurant/ bar, we enjoyed drinks, food and a beautiful view. I highly recommend staying at the Westn in fact it's the only place we will stay when we go to Portland

Thank you for taking the time to fill out this survey and give us some feedback. We will investigate which room you were in so that we can have the HVAC system looked at. Thank you for bringing that to our attention. Thank you for your kind words concerning the restuarant. We are so glad you enjoyed. We also do a Christmas Dinner that is very popular. be well, Randa
