Pine Ridge - Memories are made here!
Pine Ridge, part of the Ridge Vacation Properties group, is a charming 2-bedroom, 1-bath 900-square-foot mountaintop cabin. Nestled in the woods at an elevation of 9200 feet, you're away from it all but still close to everything! Our goal is to make Pine Ridge your favorite getaway, so we've furnished the cabin with everything you might need or want and have decorated it with a mix of new, vintage, and antique pieces with convenience and relaxation in mind. And even though your plan may be to disconnect from the world for a few days, you're always in touch with free Wi-Fi and internet.
The cozy furnishings include luxury bedding and mattresses, a variety of pillows, Turkish cotton towels, crisp cotton linens, and plenty of ambient lighting. We've also added many smart-home conveniences for your benefit, easily controlled by voice using the Amazon Alexa devices located throughout the cabin and on the deck. Play music, ask a question, control the lights --even adjust the temperature just by speaking. Of course, all the traditional switches and controls still work, and the smart features can be disabled for those with privacy concerns. We've tried to think of everything...we want you to be very comfortable here!
The cabin is all on one level and can easily sleep six. In the LIVING ROOM, the electric fireplace puts you in a relaxed frame of mind with the push of a button, so gather the family and wrap yourselves in cozy throws for a movie marathon on the 55" smart HD television, stretch out for a well-deserved nap on the cushy sofa, or watch the birds and wildlife out the large windows. You'll also have access to the queen sofa bed with memory foam mattress if you decide to binge-watch TV all night long.
You'll find that the roomy eat-in KITCHEN is fully stocked with plenty of pots and pans, glassware, dishes, all the utensils and gadgets you might need to whip up delicious meals and yummy treats, a microwave, slow cooker, a variety of bakeware, a blender, hand mixer, Cuisinart toaster, and a Cuisinart coffee maker that accepts single-serve Keurig-style coffee pods as well as ground coffee for making a full carafe. Basic pantry items such as spices, sugar, oils, condiments, paper goods, trash bags, all necessary soaps, kitchen linens, and some coffee and tea to get you started, are provided. A gas grill is conveniently located off the kitchen through the large sliding door. The antique dining set in the EATING AREA seats six and overlooks the wrap-around deck and the woods beyond. Gather here for a big breakfast before heading out for the day, or stay in and get out the games and puzzles for some memory-making time together.
Down the hall, the FIRST BEDROOM has a queen bed, while the SECOND BEDROOM offers two twin beds...the mattresses are plush and oh so comfy, and we use fresh cotton sheets and quilts so you can snuggle down for a great night's sleep in our clean mountain air. You'll always have access to extra blankets, comforters, and a variety of pillows, and both bedrooms have plenty of hanging and drawer space for your belongings. If you're traveling with little ones, you'll find a portable crib with appropriate linens as well as a highchair, sippy cups, and special kid-friendly dinnerware for your convenience --less equipment for you to haul!
The roomy BATHROOM features a full-size bathtub and shower, plenty of thick Turkish cotton towels, and all the toiletries, soaps, and paper goods you'll need to make yourselves at home. A separate LAUNDRY ROOM near the bedrooms contains a full-size washer and dryer, and laundry supplies are provided just in case your favorite hoodie needs washing before your next adventure.
Outside, you'll find a table and chairs for al fresco dining, along with comfy wicker seating on the WRAP-AROUND DECK where you can relax with your morning coffee to watch the birds start their day. Listen to the hypnotizing sound of the seasonal rock WATERFALL while watching the chipmunks get a drink and wild turkey gather at the bird feeder. There are plenty of outdoor blankets so you can enjoy hours in the cool evening air around the FIRE PIT, and we provide all the necessary supplies for toasting and roasting over a crackling campfire. Unwind and feel every muscle begin to relax in the HOT TUB, where the view is nothing but mountains and trees. Stretch out in the hammock with a good book or initiate a tournament with one of our outdoor games. You may just decide to stay outside indefinitely!
Pine Ridge is located on a quiet gravel road just 2 miles from pavement, and the road is county maintained year round. The driveway to the cabin is also gravel, and a few guests have described it as being on the steep side. Those guests arriving in 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles will not have any problem. Even 2-wheel drive vehicles typically manage just fine in the summer, and additional access options are available when the weather is inclement. Feel free to contact us with any questions regarding access to the property.

Very nice clean and easy check in
There was a book and email communication so you knew exactly how to check in and any rules or instructions on operating anything in the house. They even checked in on us to ensure we had everything we needed.

A Perfect Retreat
This property is immaculately kept, inside and out- clean and organized while remaining cozy and comfortable. Clear instructions for everything were easy to find and easy to follow. We really appreciated the easy check-in/check-out process. Didn't even feel like much of a process!
They have everything set up for voice commands, and the wifi was great! But, it's also a perfect place for an unplugged weekend, which is how we used our time.
We were lucky enough to arrive after a sizable snow, so sledding conditions were perfect, occupying the kids for hours. This property seemed as if it were chosen with sledding in mind, and the owners provided sleds- what a treat! Then, the hot tub was the best for relaxing after a day of snow play.
We particularly liked the set of binoculars left out on the table by the front door. The kids loved watching the deer, birds and stars with them. That was a thoughtful touch.
The kitchen was well-stocked, the table is just right for board games, the furniture is comfortable, there were more than enough linens/towels for everyone, there was instant hot water, a great deck, all our needs were met before we knew we had them!
We honestly couldn't have chosen a better place. So thankful the owners have opened up this place for others to enjoy. And thank you for our souvenir mug!

Pine Ridge cabin
We used the Pine Ridge cabin as a home base for our visits to Cripple Creek, Elevenmile/Lake George, Mueller State Park, Buena Vista /Collegiate Mountains, and the Florissant Fossil Beds NM. After a busy day, the cabin provided us with a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, with plenty of wildlife to watch. The cabin was VERY clean and met all of our expectations. We appreciate the effort Wayne & Wendy put into hosting!

Pine Ridge
Our stay at Pine Ridge Cabin was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The decorations and ambiance of the cabin made it incredibly cozy and inviting—it's clear that a lot of thought went into creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everything was spotless, you can tell that cleanliness is a top priority here.
The cabin was fully equipped with everything we needed and then some, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. The surrounding area offered plenty of attractions to explore, and the best part was that Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs were only about 30 minutes away, making it easy to enjoy both local and nearby adventures.
I highly recommend a visit and stay at Pine Ridge! It’s a fantastic spot for a relaxing getaway, and I’m already looking forward to our next trip.

Perfect get away!
Wayne emailed me prior to ask questions, provide details on how to access property, and said look forward to your arrival. Wayne and Wendy were very helpful and willing to answer any questions we had. Roads were easy to access even after it rained. Will still want an AWD or 4WD vehicle. When we arrived the lights were all turned on, the windows were all open, the outside fountain was running, and calming spa music was playing. The outside of the property had breathtaking scenic views. Had a beautiful porch sitting area as well as an outdoor dinning table and chairs on the deck. Was also a grill with all the tools, we brought hamburgers and hotdogs and grilled them. The inside was very welcoming and clean. Every part of the house was very well furnished and had everything needed. Soaking in the hot tub taking in the views and nature was just surreal. There is a large fire pit with several chairs and an outdoor box that has blankets, and fire starting stuff. There are lights outside above fire pit and fountain, porch and deck, and hot tub area. All outside lights, fountain, and inside lights are all controlled by Alexa devices and are very easy to turn on and off by voice command. The bed was super comfortable. Will definitely be back and stay in one of Wayne and Wendy’s properties! They go above and beyond to provide the best mountain get away!

Beautiful Cabin!
We loved our stay in this cabin. This was the perfect place to relax and spend time together as a family. We enjoyed playing bags each night, sitting in the hot tub, star gazing, and watching a movie on the comfy couch.
A few activities we enjoyed around the area were the Wolf Sanctuary, Florissant Fossil Beds, Manitou Springs (the kids loved sampling the spring water), Garden of the Gods, Breckenridge, and many hikes.

Best rental experience ever!
This is a beautiful property that is just the right amount of remote. We stayed here to go to Pike's Peak and almost wished we would have stayed at the cabin more. VERY clean and Wayne has thought of everything. The hot tub is great, but the star gazing is the best. Bring a wrek's worth of groceries and hang out at the property. You won't be disappointed. And Alexa is my new best friend. Thanks Wayne!

The absolute perfect home away from home
We loved every second of our stay here. Wendy and Wayne thought of everything. The cabin is so peaceful and comfortable and we were just blown away by the surrounding beauty. Between relaxing with a cup of coffee or playing games on the front porch, viewing the amazing night sky from the Adirondack chairs, watching chipmunks and birds of all sorts enjoying the fountain, enjoying a dip in the hot tub, or relaxing indoors where the decor so beautifully ties in the outdoor surroundings, this was an incredible place for our family to stay. The location was also perfect - so quiet and secluded, yet within easy striking distance of all sorts of fun activities… we ventured to the fossil beds, Manitou Springs area, Pike’s Peak, and Buena Vista. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This property is nothing short of amazing! The views, wildlife and all the amazing little details the owners have put into it don’t go unnoticed. The towels and blankets all smelled fresh, the cabin was cleaned to the highest level upon arrival. We could not stop “ooing” and “ahing” at all the cabin had to offer. The outdoor set up was amazing! The owners were very kind and even wished us happy birthday and Father’s Day! Very thoughtful! 10-10 would recommend. Thank you Wayne and Wendy for allowing our family to stay and create lifelong memories

Couldn't have asked for more!
From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed at our ideal cabin in the mountains. It was exactly the location and feel that we had hoped for. The cabin was cozy, inviting, and clean. Wendy and Wayne were the perfect hosts - very responsive, and checked in frequently to make sure we had what we needed. Wayne was also kind enough to provide alternate arrival instructions in case the weather made scaling the driveway a little more difficult. The hot tub and fire pits were a hit with our family, and being only about 30-45 minutes away from Colorado Springs was definitely a plus. Wildlife were at the front door/front window almost daily, which made for such sweet memories. We have talked several times since leaving about when we can go back :) It was the perfect place for our Colorado get-away!
