I picked this hotel based on the reviews. It definitely lives up to the ratings! I've stayed in many many hotels over many years - usually 4-5 star hotels and upscale resorts - so I have been fortunate to be spoiled by those experiences. While this is a very basic hotel, not to be compared with The Broadmoor or a high end chain, what it does it does extremely well. Very comfortable bed, really great design in the bath and room areas, in-room fridge/microwave and coffee machine. Very very clean. Every staff person was friendly and very helpful. For the breakfast I was expecting the usual dry pseudo-eggs, sad potatoes and meats that you would find at hotels like this but it was excellent! It's hard to offer moist, flavorful real food in a buffet situation in a minimalist hotel like this one. They also had crepes with fruit filling that were quite good. And the usual carb-central items like breads, bagels, waffle maker, oatmeal, etc. It would have been nice to have some cheese selection but the hot items more than made up for it - scrambled, two kinds of little omelets, sausage that was pretty good and not too fatty, moist well seasoned potatoes. And the coffee was good too. Win! The room and hallways were very quiet despite being fully booked, which means the design and materials are well thought-out. Definitely stay here if the location suits your needs, you will not be disappointed.
We had an early morning soccer game at the Pride Soccer Complex so we stayed here to save an early morning drive. The room was great. We had 2 queen beds and 1 pull out sofa so each kid got their own bed. Everything was very new and clean. Breakfast was really awesome. I would certainly stay here again.

There are fresh cookies down stairs every. DAY!😂 There are several places to eat and a movie theater all in a few min drive from hotel 🏨
It is one thing for a manager to lie about your stay but another to attempt to charge you for the lie they just told.....that is the experience we had. If you can stay ANYWHERE else do so, better to be safe than sorry with regrets down the road. If you choose to stay here do yourself a HUGE FAVOR....take pics of EVERYTHING in your room first thing when you arrive and last thing when you are leaving and I mean EVERYTHING.......also take pics of yourself leaving and entering the building at all times. Last but not least take pics of everything you even suspect a tiny bit may not be legit. I have never had to write a review like this before and have never had bad stays at these hotels till this manager arrived....she does not tell the truth and I will never stay at another one of these hotels for business or pleasure. Be sure to post your pics online if anything is wrong at this hotel to ensure you have a paper trail if necessary.
The best HiEx I've stayed at and is likely due to it being recently constructed. Much thought has been given to the traveler's needs such as the charging ports by the bed. Storage has been maximized and modernized; I especially liked the bench and coat hooks in between the wardrobe and bureau. There was a safe and one efficient station for fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The blackout stylish shades are ideal for controlling the Colorado sunbeams. Breakfast is even better with options like veggie egg-white omelettes and Greek yogurt. Those cookies for guests in the lobby were an impossible resistance. Wishlist: If ONLY someone would invent secure doors that don't slam violently and floors that prevent people who walk like elephants from disturbing those below them.
We stayed as a family of five during our trip to Colo Springs. We've stayed at other Holiday Inn Express hotels and no surprises here - excellent hotel and attentive friendly staff. Clean rooms and common areas, typical breakfast items with a very attentive staff member. Everything was in order with hot tub, pool, and workout room. My only small gripe is that we registered as a family of five but only got three bath towels every day. Everyday we had to ask the staff for additional towels and toilet paper. Again, a very minor gripe that does not take away from everything else that was a solid 10!
This hotel has a great view of Pikes Peak from rooms and from the breakfast patio area plus you can watch a lot of the activity happening in the air from the Academy just across the freeway. Rooms are clean, breakfast is great.
We had a great stay at this hotel. It’s very new and well kept. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. We did have a lot of noise. I’m not sure if it’s the building or disrespectful guests. We would stay here again though. Good location, great hotel.
What an incredible hotel. The level of service is the best I have ever encountered. Denise Galvez offers a lot of information about the city and manages every part of the hotel very wisely. Sean Mooney is very friendly and provided us with an excellent service. I absolutely recommend this hotel.
We reached out to this Holiday Inn Express & Suites location for help planning accommodations for our family reunion. Denise Galvez, General Manager, was very helpful and easy to work with. She had a better idea than we did of what we would need. She helped us create and set aside a room block with the best prices of anywhere around with varied room options. When we needed an extra room added to the block, it was not a problem. The staff was friendly and courteous when our family members arrived, making them feel welcomed. A special room was set aside for everyone to eat breakfast together, which they enjoyed immensely. They used the pool and hot tub and thoroughly enjoyed the view of the Air Force Academy from their rooms. This will be our go-to hotel for any future events!
