This isn't as nice as the pictures show. The bedroom a/c was a portable which is fine, but it wasn't connected well and the hose fell out of the window so we couldn't use it. The a/c knob fell off the unit in the living area. The old thermostat on the wall was barely taped to the wall and fell off. No instructions of where to take trash, luckily we found the dumpster. I wish I had taken pictures. Overall it was ok, but definitely needs improvement. There were new towels and wash rags, but weren't even washed. Maybe that's just me, but I like mine to be freshly washed before I use them.

The place had a wet moist smell me and my boyfriend couldn’t fg at first but once we noticed the AC unit in the bed room was on top of a tote that the AC leaked water in me and my boyfriend had to go out but hella tape because the ac in the bedroom wouldn’t say taped to the window and we stayed there on the hottest days of the summer on like 2 or 3 night we seen that the tote that caught the leaking water overflowed on the floor of the bed room and it was nasty we couldn’t do anything about it cuz it was so much water we had to sleep our last nights in the living room on the couch together and both my boyfriend and I are very tall so it was very uncomfortable I don’t recommend this place just cuz of all of the bs with tha ac and the smell

My second time staying at this property, great location. Parking right in front. Owner quick to respond to messages, only downfall this time were the upstairs tenants were loud other than that I would definitely return back

Do not book this place

I booked this place months in advance. According to VRBO the host will contact you three days in advance of your stay. They did not. So, I sent them a message asking about the check in process the day before the stay. No response. I sent another message the morning of the stay. No response. I drove to the property and sent another message and also rang the Ring doorbell. No response. Ended up having to call the VRBO help center and they tried contacting the host. No response. Luckily, I was able to get a full refund but had no place to stay and had to drive 3 hours home after a late night concert. Definitely would not recommend this place.

A few cautions about this property. Although the listing states 'air conditioning', there is no air conditioning in the bedroom. There is a wall unit in the living room, but it did not cool the bedroom. There is no dresser to put clothes in. The only option is the closet, but it does not have shelves. On our visit the front door was broken, which made entry difficult and therefore worrisome if we were not able to get in late at night. The owner did offer to send someone to fix the door which we declined.

The bed was quite uncomfortable, there was a constant old smell and the bedroom was very hot. However, they did provide plenty of accommodations for the guests in each room.

Stay was great,nice and clean. Well furnished. Owners very attentive. Only knock would be the baseboard heating is a little weak. I did stay during a very cold - 0 degree week so outside very cold conditions still very cozy.

2 Night Stay

Property was very clean, host was polite and allowed early check in. Only complaints are that the lighting within the property is rather dim and the lock box is a bit tricky to use.

Great Place Just Outside of Chicago

This place was so cute! It was the best parts of staying at a hotel and an apartment. My husband and I both thought the value was great for where it was located. Also, we spent a fun afternoon playing mini-golf at a amusement center across the road. The hosts were great and super attentive. I would recommend anyone who is interested staying near Chicago but not in Chicago.

Joanna was extremely accommodating she let us in check in early and allowed us some extra time to check out. The place and the linens smelled amazing. Very comfortable place and close to everything. Also Joanna is really quick to respond
