Doors slamming all night. The fire alarm went off 4x between 10pm - 1am. The 4th time it went off I realized it was only my room that was going off. I had been trying to sleep for 4 hours since I has to work the next day. I called the front desk and they came and removed the alarm. When I arrived back the next day, the alarm was still missing and my mattress was soaking wet. This place is a joke.

My husband and I recently traveled to Chicago and since it was a last-minute holiday weekend getaway, the hotels in the downtown area were all booked. We decided to stay close to the city and found this hotel right off of the interstate. It was clean and very quiet. The beds were comfortable and we both got a great night sleep. In the morning, we took advantage of some fruit and coffee. I went back right before their breakfast bar was due to close, and they were out of coffee. I was ready to head back to my room, but one of the staff stopped me and said she was making a fresh pot. After a two minute wait, I was able to get fresh coffee to take back to the room. Nothing special outside of this exchange, but we were grateful for a safe, clean and quiet place to lay our heads for the night and fairly close to Chicago.

It's considered a cheap hotel in a big city, and for a cheap hotel it's not bad, the breakfast is brief but helpful, the heating and cooling system works perfectly and the location is 20 minute drive from downtown but by the highway which is convenient. The worst thing I think is the internet, the higher speed internet was not reaching the room that end with odd numbers from 01-019, I struggled a lot trying to send a single email.

I needed to change my check in date from Monday to Tuesday. I called on Saturday asking for the hotel to change my checkin date and they would not without still making me pay for Monday. This is with giving them a two day notice.

did not check in to room at all went to Chicago visit my sick brother at loyola hospital was no able to check into hotel at all called hotel refused to refund the room charge of one day that i had paid in advance for

Yes it's just a bed but for $68 what do you want...I parked, slept, showered and had coffee...it's an old motel that will never change...if they spent some money they could get double given its location...non smoking room was just all I desired and they did that much...Hey you get what you pay for its not a ripoff by any means Go here on the cheap and sleep

We arrived at this hotel because my navigator , directed me to the wrong hotel. Our actual hotel was in Arlington Heights(not an Econo Lodge). We had been driving for hours, tired and figured we had another hour drive, decided to just stay for the night. Charged me $101 because we didn't reserve the room. They gave us a room on the third floor. We exited the elevator, and opened the hallway door(on the third floor the elevator opens on to an outside balcony ) and was with worst smell, smelled like combination of body odor and curry. The room wasn't much better like it hadn't been opened in a while. The fridge didn't work. I wouldn't stay here again.

I've stayed at this hotel in the past & had problems with my stay. After reporting my experiences with Choice's management, most of the problems have been corrected. I say almost because this time the room phone wasn't working. I reported the problem to the front desk clerk as I was checking out. Hopefully, this will be corrected before I stay there again. On the positive side, the room prices are reasonably priced. My senior rate was $58, which was almost $20 less than the other Choice hotels in the area, e.g., Comfort & Quality Inns.

This hotel was terrible - one of my worst stays! Here were the problems: The room was too cold, even after setting the temperature to 80 & 90 degrees - the heater wasn't cycling properly; framed picture over the bed fell & landed on my head - luckily, I wasn't hurt. cause: poorly assembled hooks; sink had low hot water pressure - water barely flowed out; couldn't take food or drinks into my room or out the door - desk manager scolded me for it & said that I could only eat in the breakfast room; no coffee maker in the room; no microwave in the room; no shampoo; no soap (I had to go downstairs & ask for it); missing "do not disturb" sign (I had to go downstairs & ask for it); TV remote control wasn't working (again, I had to go downstairs so that the desk clerk could give me new batteries, plus the back was missing - had to be taped up. Needless to say, I won't be staying at this hotel again. I'm a Choice Diamond member & have stayed at their other hotels without any problems. I realize that Econo Lodge is an economy hotel, but at least it should be a pleasant place for guests to stay & not have all these problems. I would recommend that Choice management inspect this hotel to see that it meets corporate quality standards.

I booked with them for the only reason that they promised I would get a microwave in both rooms that I booked. I called the day before my arrival to make sure and they confirmed I would get them. I get there and neither one had it. Then they said they would try to give the micro for one room only. I paid for two rooms not one only. The lady at the front desk said they did have a note of my request but did not have the microwave available and the so called manager told me the next day they don't have any note. A bunch of liars...they will lie to get your money.
