Close to downtown. 6 blocks. Under ground parking for our room was great in march. Kitchen came with the essentials for cooking. Liked the bbq area. Had a very confusing layout to the main building. They need to hand out a map layout. And the place is dated. Could use a face lift. View fro. 415 was absolutely amazing though

Although the rooms need some TLC as they are a little dated, it was def worth the price. The fireplace in the room was great and the bed was crazy comfy!

It was an excellent choice for you friends and me skiing in the area for a couple days. In particular, the frequent bus service to and from Banff Avenue was very convenient, and the free 3 day bus pass for each of us was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we had no complaints. But the property is old, and that shows in the general style and appearance of the exterior, and some minor maintenance issues in the room.

In theory, this is a great place for families to stay. Decent pricing, “full” kitchen, pool and hot tub. The reality is I have never stayed anywhere so dirty! Cobwebs and hair balls in almost every corner and hanging from the light fixtures. The bathroom floor was so dirty that the towel turned black after cleaning il the water the kids spilled. The bed sheets were thread bare and the “full” kitchen didn’t have enough pots/pans/utensils to even prepare a spaghetti supper. Very disappointing

The refrigerator was not working, it was repaired the next day, there were 2 burnt out light bulbs, one chair was broken, and the bathtub drain worked very slowly.

My kids love staying here because of the wood-burning fireplace in the room and the waterslides. I’ve been staying here for several years and I’m finding the quality is going down. The little things, like not having a dish drying rack in our room or any dishwasher. Tabs meant that I couldn’t clean up on our way out. All the appliances are hit or miss in the room we stayed in, warped old pots and pans. There was tons of sand in the hot tub, and the soundproofing is basically nonexistent in the room. This used to be my favorite, but as my kids are getting older, I will be finding somewhere else to go.

Stayed here because of the play area and waterslides for my kids. We could’ve stayed in the hotel the whole time because of these things. Hotel is older and has that older smell but the room was clean.

We enjoyed our stay and the fact that there are waterslides and a play zone for the kids is great. The kids and adults really enjoyed the waterslides. The outdoor hot tub was also really enjoyable. We booked a one bedroom loft and the fact there was a full kitchen saved us some money as we could cook when we wanted and did not have to eat out every night. The rooms could use some updating but it wasn’t bad enough to make us want to not stay there.

Fun family place

We had a great time at douglas fir. Nice family oriented place with two water slides and an outdoor hot tube. The housekeeping was not so great. There was dust all over the place along the edge of the carpet and on appliances. Having said that, they do have an indoor real wood fireplace so that woudl be difficult to keep clean.
