When we arrived the staff was very nice however, the every elevator in the location was being renovated. The guests were required to take service elevators to the floors they were staying on. There were no signs as to how to get to the services elevators so it took a while to figure that out. Once in the room, we realized that it was not the kind of room we reserved. that required a trip back down to the check-in desk to get that corrected. Once in the correct room, the room was very dirty. There was mold and mildew everywhere in the bathroom. In fact, you could even see the grout between the tiles due to the mildew. The shower curtain had about a couple of inches of pink mildew on the bottom. We also found food from the previous guest in the refrigerator. The surrounding area seemed unsafe with unsavory types loitering around the garage and the front of the building. I would never book a room there again and we immediately checked out and went to Greensboro instead.

Paid $160 for a room for me and my friend. Upon arriving we notice the hotel was under remodeling. We had to walk through out construction areas just to get to the made up check in desk. It was 9:30PM and our room ( 308 ) was not clean. Front desk switched us to a different room ( 310 ) it was NO CLEAN EITHER. Finally we got a clean room ( 410 ). At about Midnight a Couple WALKED INTO OUR ROOM. Front desk had double booked the room. Too much for privacy and sense of safety. Next day breakfast was 30 minutes late and we had to miss it....Over all I wish i had gone to a different hotel.

My family has stayed here on several occasions including just the leisure get aways. The indoor balconies are our favorite but the hospitality of the staff is impeccable.

Major renovations happening…which was terribly needed as the property is seriously dated and

Great staff...at check in and house-keeping.

This property is a construction site. One elevator is in working condition.construction is taking place everywhere. My frustration is that guests should be warned and given a chance to decide if they want to still stay at this facility. Forewarned is forearmed.

Excellent

Hotel was under renovations but no excuse for filthiness or 2 broken elevators out of 3. Staff was rude when asked for toiletries for a 5 night stay, I was told to come downstairs and get it myself. Coffee stand was either without cups or only had hazelnut flavored Creamer. So many things wrong about this 5 day stay. I've booked here before and it was great but this time was really bad. Investigate before booking!

We got way more than we expected with this hotel we really liked it. But the heating system made noise all night long and it was horrible. But we would definitely stay here again

The room was very nice but you should list online the building is being renovated and the pool doesn't work . That's what I paid for and did not receive also hot breakfast if you don't have a staff serving what's the point of me paying for breakfast that's not even hot but I paid for breakfast n did not expect a muffin. That's unfair and it would be nice to at least get a discount on my next stay please .

The staff is amazing!! And the room were clean. We enjoyed our stay.

The downtown location is great, and the staff are as friendly and professional as you would expect at an Embassy Suites. The facility is old and the decor is dated. That's OK. But the facility is in desperate need of repairs and upgrades. Our suite alone had a missing cabinet door, peeled-off wood veneer, an uncovered hole where the shower arm emerges from the wall, a caulking job around the sink basin (apparently due to a repair) that was embarrassingly bad, and an extremely loud air handler placed directly next to the bed that was so loud when starting up that it woke everyone up repeatedly. Admittedly, if this was a $60/night low-tier hotel, I would give it a pretty good good review... maybe 4 stars. But this was by far the most disappointing Embassy Suites I've visited. Might try the Marriott across the street next time instead.

The air conditioning did it work well. 75 degrees in room

Orbitz got us the wrong kind of room. The hotel was willong to make the chang, but the bedrooms do not have windows so we did not want to stay anyway.

The rooms are spacious. But no parking at the hotel and paid parking fees are very high. The hotel is not easily noticaable when are driving unless you are really smart and in the passenger seat doing nothing but looking outside. I had to make few rounds to get to the hotel to figure out E stands for embassy suits. The hotel oppisite to it is very easily noticeable. The room air conditioning was really bad and i had to set the temperature at 80 to feel warm though outside temperatures were not very low. The mattress i belive needs some recondition or replacement. Day one of stay was miserable with cold and bed conditions.

We are very sorry to hear of your disappointing stay and have addressed these issues with management. While the renovation and ongoing pandemic have certainly altered our normal operations, it is no excuse not to provide the warm and guest-focused experience you have come to know and expect from the Embassy Suites. We take this very seriously and appreciate your honest feedback. We hope you will give us another chance once our renovations are completed later this year.
