Our entire experience here was positive! Extremely nice staff, very comical and makes the entire stay so nice! I had conversations with 5 different people at front desk, and every single one was lovely! Breakfast is very nice, ladies there made eye contact and said good morning. An employee I passed getting out of the elevator noticed I was carrying a grocery bag and immediately asked if I needed him to dispose of it. It wasn’t garbage, but I couldn’t believe the attention to detail! Idk if the air is just different in this area, but this Residence Inn has customer service figured out! Thank you, because when things go this well, it makes traveling just that much better. ;)
(1) The shower was appalling. Like standing outside on a misty day. Why do people put up with such things? No one would tolerate such a shower at home, so why do we give hotels a "pass"? (2) OTHER NEGATIVES: (a) Noisy air-handler in the room. (b) A 75-cent charge for every LOCAL telephone call. Utterly outrageous. (Not to mention the totally obscene charges for non-local calls.) (c) Blaring televisions in the gym and lobby/lounge/diningroom. (d) Super-sleazy lies about reducing the frequency of towel- and bedsheet-changing because of "our conservation efforts", when any idiot knows that they're doing it to increase their profits, not because they care a whit about "the earth". (How stupid do they think we are?) (e) It takes forever to get hot water, and even then it's not very hot. (3) GOOD POINTS: (a) Lovely staff -- front desk, maintenance, maids: all of them polite, hard-working, and eager to be helpful. (b) Adequate free breakfast and, on certain days, semi-dinner. (c) Very nice rooms -- good furniture, lots of space, terrific full kitchen (not only a real fridge and stove, but house-size models -- i.e., not even apartment-size), desk AND dining table, many windows (all of which open). If it hadn't been for the negatives mentioned above (especially the revolting shower), I'd have given the place a '5'.
We stayed here for six days while my husband was in the area for work. All the staff members were lovely and kind, and friendly! This is no fancy high end hotel. It felt like a home away from home, as we had a kitchenette and living room separated from the bedroom and bathroom. We were able to park right by the closest building entrance nearest our room, so, counting the staff, our suite, and parking spot, it was mighty fine. My husband used the gym once - adequate for an "away from home" workout. We didn't use the pool although we could have, for a morning swim. I think the only downer was that we couldn't use the BBQ as they were stored away for the season, but no matter, we cooked in our kitchenette. There were mix and mingle events Monday nights, Tuesday nights, and Wednesday nights, and while we didn't chat with other guests, it was nice to eat outside of the hotel room. We used the coin laundry once, there were two washers and two dryers there, if I remember correctly. Laundry soap needed to be purchased from the lobby, no problem. No restaurant on site, but there were a couple just the next complex over, as well as restaurants within a 5 minute drive. There were supermarkets down the street as well. Would stay again!
The Residence Inn worked out perfectly for our wedding weekend. It was very comfortable for families or friends to share rooms. Everyone loved having breakfast together. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Karina, our sales coordinator, was a joy to work with. One less thing to worry about!
The Residence Inn in Westford, MA was home for us, our young adult children and our golden retriever from early December through early February while repairs were being made to our condominium. The accommodations were comfortable and had everything we needed to celebrate the holidays and continue to operate our home businesses. Free breakfast each morning, and "mixers" three nights a week helped us to keep to our budget. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. On snowy evenings and holidays, there was something special in the lounge. The cleaning staff was wonderful, and worked well with our dog in the room. While we are happy to be back home, we will miss everyone who made our stay so very pleasant. We highly recommend The Residence Inn as a temporary home. Thank you!
The Residence Inn in Westford, MA is a little off the beaten track but is well worth staying at if you are passing through. The welcome is friendly, the rooms modern, clean, and tasteful, and the breakfast is superb. This is not a cheap hotel but it is worth the money if you want peace and comfort. A problem with the Internet connection was the only downside.
I arrived to this hotel quite late in the evening, just before the snow storm started in January. The receptionist was extremely friendly and welcoming and made me feel welcome to the hotel. Another lady offered me freshly baked cookies. It felt like coming home to a friend (with a big house) :-) The hotel and room itself are quite worn out, so don't except luxury, but the rooms are clean and tidy and the bathroom selection is good. The bed was comfortable as well, so I slept very well. The area is quiet so no disturbance from outside. The breakfast was ok, but the selection could have been larger. I think they also serve dinner, but I wouldn't expect a menu/ selection like in a restaurant. Though, there are some restaurants quite close by. The next morning the snow storm had stopped all taxis from driving, but the receptionist helped me get a cab. She had contacts to a few companies I could have called.
I stayed during one of our bad autumn storms and was warm and comfy as the winds and rain came down. I was having work done on my house and and really appreciated their more than reasonable pet policy. The staff were friendly (if overworked) and the room was mostly clean. On the down side, I did have to wash some of the room's dishes again before I could use them. And breakfast choices didn't seem to get refreshed. If you got there early, choices were good. And the desk staff always seemed to have a couple of people waiting for them -- needed some help? But having a small kitchen and a warm, comfy room is so great when all you want to do is hunker down in a safe place with your pet. Overall, I would stay again in a minute.
What a pleasant experience. The front desk people are so nice. They welcome you warmly and always say hello. My only suggestion is ti add some more breakfast serial choices. Such as regular cheerios without sugar. Or corn flakes or rice krispies. Some basics. I will be returning.
Today I experience a first in all the years I have traveled for business. I stay in hotels over 130 nights per year in my business travels. Today upon returning to my hotel room at the Residence Inn Westford, I discovered that someone (most likely housekeeping) had entered my room while I was at work, and had left two large "deposits" of feces in the toilet in my bathroom. This was beyond repulsive and disgusting. The entire room smelled horrible, and the front desk, though somewhat apologetic, offered no solution to the situation and refused to let me speak to a manager. I am afraid to eat any of the food that I had placed in the refigerator due to the fact that whomever left the turds in the toilet may have messed with some of my other belongings such as my food or toothbrush. I am appalled that a hotel, and a Marriott property at that, would allow this type of employee to work at their establishment. I cannot stress strongly enough that you should avoid this hotel at all costs as it is completely unacceptable to have hotel staff that could and would experience such vile, subhuman behavior. The hotel offered no correction to the solution except a lukewarm "apology" from the night staff and an offer that I could change rooms. Why? The same disgusting staff would still have access to my room and personal belongings.
