The location was good room was spacious enough for two but quite dark I must say. We like the climat of the hotel a bit old with some shabby chic furnitures Food at their restaurant was good as well On the day we left right in front of the hotel there was a big fish market so it's probably once in a week. You can buy fresh fish vegetables herbs and a lots of more But the day before the were cutting the fishes so the smell wasn't so pleasant
The Locanda is down a small street, near Rialto market. I can understand why some might find it difficult to locate but all of Venice can be quite hard to navigate and we did find it quite easily using the directions from the website. It's in easy walking distance of the Rialto Bridge and San Marco, as well as a number of restaurants. The room was spacious and warm, the bed comfortable and there was an extra pillow in the cupboard if needed. The bathroom was a little short of hooks for clothing and space to store things, but that's not a big issue. I saw some reviews mentioned only being given one key. We asked the receptionist for a second room key and swipe card on the first night of our stay (my partner is a photographer and wanted to go out taking photos through the late evening and very early morning, while I wanted to read or sleep at those times) and these were provided with no problem at all, the receptionist was very pleasant. The breakfast was fine during our stay, a decent amount of choice. This is a "Locanda" (guesthouse?) rather than a hotel, so you don't get the huge selection you would at one of the large hotel chains. But nevertheless we found there was enough to choose from, including vegetarian options. I would recommend this Locanda if you would like a central and comfortable place to stay in Venice.
I book the hotel through my agent The location is perfect, but overall I was not happy with the hotel. Assuming I will be spending time mostly outside, all I wanted is a nice hotel with breakfast and clean room. Good shower and reasonable price. The breakfast is very poor. I didn't really find anything to eat. The lady at the breakfast was not kind or friendly. The shower was old and not comfortable, had no place to hang my things in the bathroom. I asked for extra pillows but they didn't have Hot water where a matter of luck The water pressure was depressing We managed to enjoy our visit after all , but it is not a place I will go back to or recommend
Located not far from the Rialto Market, the hotel is between a quiet street and a small canal. The rooms are classically appointed and well maintained. The staff will hold your bags if you arrive earlier than check-in, so you can wander the city luggage-free before lunch. They will do the same after checkout, so you needn't hurry to the Vaporetto upon checkout at 11am.
I had a booking with this hotel but cancelled it 3 weeks before going. Despite this, it was claimed my cancellation was never received and they took the full 100% of the charge off me of £500 I rang twice and the person on the phone was completely unsympathetic and told me I could not speak to the manager, only by email. I emailed and explained the situation and the stress it was causing and just got one email back refusing to provide a refund, although I bet they rebooked that room! All further emails were ignored It looks a nice place but if the staff are so rude and unsympathetic if there are problems I won't ever consider going back.
We spent 4 nights here in July and were happy with the modest but clean and tidy accomodation. Good aircon and bathroom/shower. Breakfast was small but enough and hotel was in a easy accessible area. If I ever came back to Venice, (probably not) I'd stay here and recommend it!
This was my first time in Venice and I was very happy with my stay at Locanda Poste Vecie. The directions the hotel sent us made finding the hotel easy. The location was great! We were close to one of the water bus stops, which made it easy getting around the island and to Murano,
Nice B&B with a fair price and good customer care. The location is perfect, close to Rialto Market and Rialto Bridge, providing access to all means of transport easily. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The stairs are a bit tough for big and heavy luggage.Breakfast is very good at the hotel restaurant. Hotel Guests have a discount on lunch and dinner.
We stayed 2 night in this small bed&breakfast and we enjoyed our choice. The room was very small (not a problem considering that we spent the whole time visiting the city), but clean. The Locanda is situated in a small alley, it can be difficult if you arrive late at night to find it, but it's Venice, exploring alleys it is part of the fun. The location is very good, at short walking distance to the charming fish market, Rialto bridge and Canal Grande. Breakfast, in the nearby restaurant, is really good and pleasant. All the people we met at the Locanda or restaurant were very nice and kind! Considering the low overall price we will come back for sure.
It's Venice. It's old. It's a bit cramped. But it's also in the middle of everything, it's reasonable , it's clean and I loved the immediate neighborhood. Walk anywhere, water taxi to cruise ship. And the manager is always more than helpful.
