We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and absolutely love it and wanted to recommend for friends. The location of the hotel is very strategic. 5 minutes walks Rialto Bridge and also St Marks Square. It is also the centre of shops and eateries. The room size is big compared to typical European hotels and the interiors are still new. The front desk staff are very friendly. There is a roof terrace bar at the hotel which is supposedly can have good view of St. Marks Square, but unfortunately it didn't open during winter. The breakfast spread is quite good and we love the breads. The only minus is that the hotel doesn't have any canal or water view. We definately will recommend to friends who wants convenient and comforts and doesn't mind of the view.
Stayed at this hotel in the first week of January and from the minute our luggage was taken to our room I was impressed. Everything is gleaming from the brass fittings to the marble in the bathrooms. Hotel is in an excellent location and the staff are extremely helpful with directions or restaurant recommendations. Venice is as beautiful as you imagine especially in winter.
The hotel was so lovely, and the staff was so kind and so supportive. We arrived early in the morning, and the staff was happy to hold our belongings at the front desk. We also had a late train on our second day of our stay and they were again, very happy to hold our belongings behind the front desk. They went above and beyond, including printing our train tickets after we left the tickets in Florence! The hotel itself was beautiful. The rooms were lovely, large, and filled with beautiful furniture. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Venice.
Ideally located just a few paces from Rialto and the water born connections to/from Station, Airport and Lido. Efficient welcoming staff. Top floor room was warm, comfortable and quiet. Nothing to find fault with.
Excellent service, great location, very nice accommodations. Good breakfast too. Highly recommend pizza at Rossopomodoro, dinner at Antico Pignolo and gelato at the Americano Snack Bar near St Mark’s Square. We were graciously upgraded to a suite for our family of 4 (including 2 tweens). Venice was absolutely stunning during the holiday week.
Hotel was excellent, room and bathroom reasonably large, quiet, staff attentive, breakfast fine, bed linen replaced each day. Close to Rialto bridge, supermarket, resto, ATMs very close. Maybe reckon on 100Euro/person/day for visiting tourist attractions and a resto meal. Christmas was excellent, not too many tourists.
We visited here at the start of an anniversary cruise departing from Venice . Decided to spend one night in the city and it was a great decision. The hotel is small but perfectly located , minutes from the Rialto stop. The room was stunning , marble and gold fittings and an amazingly comfortable bed with quality linens. The breakfast was perfect with a large range of fresh products . The staff were very helpful but it is worth noting that the roof top bar closes for winter . It actually closed on the night we were there but the staff kindly allowed us to enjoy one drink there before it closed. I would highly recommend this hotel and a trip to Venice , which is picture perfect. Can't wait to return and spend more time in this fabulous city/hotel.
Went here for lunch as we had just arrived in the hotel awaiting our room. The seats are shallow and uncomfortable, crowded and noisy. The food was just good, the service hurried, sloppy and slow. We found a less expensive equally good local place.
Christmas in Venice with my son we stayed at the Hotel La Commedia and it was wonderful. Beautiful bedrooms, the staff were very attentive and on arrival we had a complimentary drink at the bar. The breakfast was also perfect with a wide range to choose from.
It was wonderful. The staff was very kind, very good and varied breakfast .the room was very cosy, bed -big and comfortable Tv had a variety of channels. The bathroom had all facilities needed. Hot water-nice shower head and big bath. very recommended
