We have been 3 nights at the hotel. The location is great and we had a wonderful stay. The rooms that has the park view are very nice. The reception staff is amazing, friendly, attentive, has a very good English and gave us very good recommendations. The breakfast is amazing, the variety is extra ordinary and the staff is perfect.
This hotel is across the Grand Canal from St. Mark's square. They also have a hotel near the square, so they have a free every-half-hour water shuttle bewteen the two, making access very convenient. Yet this hotel is on the quiet side, away from the crowds. Had a super and very large room. Great breakfast included of course.
My husband and I selected this hotel for our first trip to Venice, as it was rated 5 star, had a gym and good reviews. We had a nice room, enjoyed the gardens, and the free shuttle to the main island and the staff were all polite and helpful. However, some of the “small details” let the experience down. The wall mounted hairdryer was so weak it barely dried my hair and I couldn’t style it (it looked ridiculous), so we had to spend a good portion of our first day in Venice, searching for a shop to buy a hairdryer. The room didn’t have any tea or coffee making facilities. The hotel doesn’t make an iron available to guests - you have to pay the hotel to press your clothes (or wear them creased or buy new ones) and the gym opened too late for us to use, with the tours and itinerary we had planned. I would consider staying here again but this wouldn’t be my first choice.
As per the title of the review, this is an amazing hotel. The free shuttle to and fro from the Piazzo St Marco was an absolute god send. Its nice to be able to leave the busy centre at the end of the day and walk down the promenade along this side of the island. We were upgraded for free and the staff were so knowledgeable. I would definately recommend the Morano Glass factory tour. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the island and the factory offers a free shuttle back to your chosen destination. No need to pay third party sites for a tour. The spa was absolutely amazing, however quite expensive. Your looking at approx £250 for the best option. I would day you could tour venice within a day or 2...but do make sure you get lost in Venice, you see so much more!!
Wow! I fell in love with the Bauer properties while in Venice . I loved how the hotel was away from the craziness . Scenic views from the entrance . Beautiful gardens on the property with pool and spa. Breakfast was delicious. Room was so clean and quiet and not to mention huge bathroom and lots of space to unpack and store clothing . Staff is great. Turn down service was a nice addition. Great cafes near by to take in the view . Their boat shuttles you from property to property the hotel on the other side had an excellent restaurant. I highly recommend dining or grabbing a drink there. Very impressed by this hotel . In my option one the best accommodations of our vacation.
This hotel is gorgeous with beautiful gardens and the water shuttle staring you in the face right outside front door, willing to help with anything. Convent like rooms and shower over bath. Food is delicious and variety plentiful. Such a convenient spot and wonderful staff. Large lounge area in foyer. A lovely walk along the waters edge and plenty of shops for ice cream or drinks.
Rooms and bathrooms were large and comfortable. Food was good and the service was impeccable. Staff were friendly, accommodating and approachable. We had a great holiday and I hope we can visit again soon.
The best experience. The place is extremely beautiful and you feel really pampered by the very polite and sweet staff. The place to be in Venice. Amazing view. Sleeping was amazing and I felt better than home. Top.
Second time at this lovely hotel, first time we have brought good friends to help us celebrate a special birthday weekend. Such a tranquil oasis. A beautiful Palladian building, elegant and understated and tranquil. The gardens are beautiful and the staff wonderful. A fabulous location to fully appreciate the Redentore fireworks, with a magical dinner in the gardens beforehand. Just lovely.
