Great location. Great hotel. Nice people. Loved it ! Boat to Venice is easy and quick. Rooms are beautiful and sunny. Very enjoyable place close to the canals of Lido. Would recommend it to everyone cause the rates are way better than in the real Venice.
The location is pretty bad - far away both from the boats and the public beach. The staff is odd, like they never had guests before. On a rainy day I wanted to sit in the room next to the breakfast room because the lightings were too strong in there but were not aloud. Just because.
The hotel was lovely, the staff couldn't do enough to help. Breakfast was really good, plenty to chose form. would definitely stay again surrounding area is beautiful, lots of nice restaurants Train station within walking distance
Great hotel 5 minutes from beach - room 19 was a bit tired - carpet needs replacing - bathroom desperately needs a proper shower - only a handheld shower attachment which was useless after a day on the beach. Lots of choice at breakfast - beautiful garden - very relaxing and un overlooked
We stayed two nights and were pleasantly surprised that we got an upgrade to a room with a balcony. The lady receptionist even walked us to our room and explained everything. This hotel is located in an early 1900s mansion and it still breathes quality and style. Beds are good, the staff is friendly, rooms are nice, the internet is ok and the garden is beautiful. The walk to the waterbus takes about 25 minutes. They main critique we had is the quality of the breakfast: overcooked frankfurters, instead of proper sausages, very bad bacon, and poor quality bread rolls and croissants. I hope the management will improve the quality of the breakfast so we can give five stars next time.
What a find La Meridiana Hotel , wonderful staff especially Gian Carlo front of house Thank you ! peaceful yet so close to every thing Lido has to offer ! In a superb location , turn left cross a road and you're on the beach or turn right and follow the canals a beautiful walk takes you to many bars & restaurants and a little further to the Vaporetta terminal where you can book many a trip visiting other lagoons Venice etc .
We had been to Venice a couple times and had stayed near to St. Marks Square and really enjoyed it, this time we wanted to try somewhere on Lido so took a chance and booked the Meridiana and found it absolutely charming! It is tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of St. Marks, Rialto etc, but near enough to enjoy it when you want it and all the sightseeing spots are just a short ride on the Vaporetto. The hotel itself is about a ten minute pleasurable walk from the Vaporetto stop and the main drag of Lido which has some lovely restaurants and shops and for us has added another dimension to visiting Venice. The staff and management at the hotel were always so friendly and helpful , the room was always clean and tidy, breakfast was good and also the hotel was situated very near to a lovely beach. we also did a trip to a place called Chioggia which involved catching a bus from near to the hotel, travelling on a ferry, continuing on the bus and then picking up a Vaporetto which was recommended by the hotel manager and turned into quite a day. If you do this, check on the timing of the last Vaporetto coming back. I could say more but all I will say is that when we go back to Venice we will try and stay here again.
Stopped here on the way from Treviso airport to Venice. Very pleased with the room. Very clean and spacious. Huge, comfortable bed. The shower was not quite as good, but quite acceptable. Breakfast was a disappointment. The corners had been cut, and it showed. I found it quite difficult to get confirmation of our taxi transfer from the airport, and ended up ringing on the morning of our flight to make certain, despite having sent several emails. However, overall I was pleased with our stay, and would happily revisit.
The hotel is situated in Lido in Venice which is a small island in the Venice archipelago. To reach the main tourist spots of Venice from the hotel, you need to walk for about 10-15 minutes to the boat station and have a boat ride of about 20 to 45 minutes depending on where you want to go. The hotel room was quite nice though the bathtub was a bit small. They provided all the toiletries and the rooms were serviced every day. The hotel is in a very quiet place if you do not wish to do the normal tourists' stuff then it is a nice ideal hotel for you. Have a nice quiet peaceful time and maybe take a walk around the hotel's quiet neighbourhood.
I will split this review into 4 sections: Transportation, Room, Service, First of all: Transportation. If you are in Venice, you will need to take a Vaporetto (Water-Bus) to Lido. This will cost you 7,50 for 75 minutes or 20 Euro for one day. (You can also check the ACTV website for more information). From S. Marco Plaza you will need around 20 min to the Lido pier. From there it is a 10 min walk or a 3 min bus ride and 3 min walk (the bus ticket is included in the 75' or daily tickets). The Hotel itself is very charming. Due s location it is very quiet and relaxing. The reception was always nice, charming and very kind to us. We got an upgrade, so the following passage is in regards to the Deluxe Room. The room was really nice. Old and imperial but yet very clean and welcoming. The only downside was the fact that the walls are very thin and you can hear people talking. The breakfast was intercontinental standard. The quality was ok. Nothing special but it is enough for a good start into a long sightseeing day. i do recommend this hotel, however you should take the public transportation cost into account. Once you got those tickets, you can use them however to go to Burano, Murano and around the city. I recommend to take a Vaporetto through the Grand Canale, so the ticket is worth itself.
