This was our second stay in the Santa Chiara. We were especially happy with the breakfast. Plenty of choice including delicious cooked bacon and eggs. Excellent service by the ever friendly and helpful Sherwin.
Stayed in the deluxe canal view room, and it was amazing. Room clean, views breathtaking, bathroom massive especially liked the disco lights round the mirror. So glad I stayed here, breakfast was delicious and the room where it was served was over looking the canal. Staff were very helpful with planning our day sight seeing telling us where to see etc. I would love to go back to Venice and would certainly stay here again, thank you santa Chiara for an amazing stay
Be very, very careful you do not book a classic double as this is not at this Hotel but 300 metres down the road on a dirty backstreet! Cigarette burns on bed, cables holding wires together and crumbling plaster on walls. Complained and was told this is what classic double is!! Would never go here again... They write in tiny print this is the Anexxe, should say terrible room down dirty side street- even the doormat had 3 stars on it- clearly not 4 stars!!
Look no further if you are looking for wonderful accommodations in the center of the historic district of Naples. Hotel is immaculate with modern, well appointed rooms. Staff is exceedingly helpful and English is perfect. Breakfast is well done and offers more than one could want. Would return here without hesitation .
We were accommodated in the annexe which is about 100 m away from the main building. We had to check in at the main building. They provide breakfast at 10 Euros per person. The annexe is located close to a grocery store. We had the view of an adjoining building less than 10 ft away. No coffee maker, microwave or refrigerator in the room. We were charged 701 Euros for three nights. The room and bathroom were spacious. There is an ancient elevator which can accommodate 2-3 people and crawls up to the first floor. Since my daughter was in wheelchair, it was essential. There seems to be no staff in the building itself but the rooms were cleaned every day. They have a computer for airline checkin etc but no attached or network printer. To print the boarding pass you have to email it to the front desk so that they can print it for you. Hotel is very close to the water bus stop. Overall, it was ok nothing really great.
Stayed here in December for 3 days while out supporting Leinster Rugby for the match in Treviso. I arrived late enough on my first day and to my great supprise was upgraded on arrival to a double deluxe room from my original booking! Now as a person who works in the hotel industry I know a lot of complimentary upgrades are about as serious as a pinch of salt, it's all the same bed at the end of the day, however this was special and compared to nothing I've ever experienced. My room overlooked the main square in Venice, and came with 42" widescreen tv, which would've been amazing if I understood a word of Italian on the stations. The room comes standard with lockable safe and mini bar. What really made this room special though was the bathroom. The shower was a rainwater shower but also had disco lights which I thought was kinda quirky. To add to the quirky disco environment u could also plug your music device into the wall and play music through a speaker in the ceiling. See pictures!!! The hotel is centrally located with the bus station, train station and river boat all within 5 minutes. Honestly, if I'm ever back in Venice again, I know where I'll be staying! grazie e arrivederci! Thanks guys!
We booked two nights in a Grand Canal view room and it was amazing! We enjoyed watching the activity day and night. Our room was spectacular, very modern, soft colors and attention to detail. Very likely one of the nicest accommodations we have stayed in. That says a great deal since we are in our mid 70's and our first visit to Venice. The staff was exceptional, Vihcehzo at the front desk assisted us with light dinner ideas near by and providing us with directions for travel within the city. The hotel offered a tour out to Murano island, I don't recall if there was a charge but believe it was free. I would definitely recommend the hotel!
Only a one night stay in this excellent hotel . The location suited us perfectly as it was right at the bus terminal. The view from our superior room was astounding. The room was beautiful with very comfortable bed and pillows. Furnishings are so lovely. The bathroom had mood lighting which was good when lying in the huge bath. Coffee machine was a bonus. Nice to sit at the window looking out at the Grand Canal while sipping on a coffee or tea. Breakfast buffet was presented well and there was plenty of choice. I would always pay for a superior room in this hotel to get a canal view and breakfast included.
The Santa Chiara Hotel was the best hotel we have stayed in Venice. I cannot find any fault in any way with this hotel. The view of the Grand Canal wonderful. The rooms are beautiful with so many amenities from remote control drapes and shades to lighting in the bathroom. The decor is clean and modern. The front desk staff is excellent and very professional. This hotel is located at the Constitution Bridge and the Grand Canal. So close to the train station, water taxis, water buses, and the cruise port. This hotel has a parking lot which lowers your car to an under ground garage. The buffet breakfast is very good, The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a great view of the canal from the breakfast room. This hotel has undergone a huge renovation. It is beautiful in every way. Would recommend this to anyone who is planning a visit to Venice. We will stay again,
My wife and I stayed here for a few days while in Venice. We got a Canal view room and was blown away. The view was spectacular. The WiFi worked great, however we had to login to it every time we used it which was aggravating. Nonetheless, the staff were friendly. The breakfast was good. It had options for everyone. The breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, toast and breads, fruit, cereals and pancakes. The breakfast was yummy for me, but I have been to places that had larger layouts and options. The Hotel is located close to the train station which was very convenient. The room we had was spacious, clean, and it was difficult to leave. The bathroom was modern and the shower was so nice. Tremendous water pressure! I will stay here again when I’m in Venice!
