We traveled through Italy in June for 10 days, staying in beautiful cities at amazing boutique hotels. However, Sina Palazzo is by far the best hotel and Venice the most beautiful city. From the arrival in a water taxi to its private pier, the warm welcome by hotel staff to the well appointed suite, everything was perfect. Special thanks to the friendly front desk personnel (Fendi, Marco and the others) for accommodating our many requests and making reservations at excellent restaurants. The only feedback I'd give to the management is to hire a more friendly and pleasant, perhaps younger staff for breakfast service to replace the grumpy old ladies currently employed.
What a wonderful hotel! My husband and I stayed here two nights as the start of our honeymoon. We booked their honeymoon package and were not disappointed! Upon arrival they upgraded us and we walked in with rose petals on the bed. Breakfast was included, nothing extradorinaiy, but got us going for the day (eggs, pastries, cold cuts, etc.). The package also included a gondola ride which met off their private pier. This was a lovely 30 minute ride and nice way to get aquatinted with the city. There was no wait and we picked the time. We saw other gondola stations throughout Venice and it was complete chaos! We also had a complimentary meal at Atinoos, the food was beyond amazing! Great choice by our hotel and included a shuttle service (although I suggest walking back as the views are lovely). The location is perfect, about a 15 minute walk to St. Mark's square. Honestly, roaming the streets and getting lost is the best part of Venice! Overall service was fantastic and the hotel itself very clean. If you want a spot right on the Grand Canal then look no further!
We spent two nights at this hotel and found the room to be large and the location to be perfect. We however were disappointed in the staff when we arrived at 11:30 am. We were exhausted and they said the room wouldn't be ready until 3pm. No effort to try to have room done sooner. We asked where would be a good place to have breakfast and they said there were shops around to get croissants. They never mentioned that they served breakfast daily at the hotel. We found by accident. The waterway closes once a year on a Sunday and it was closed when we were there but they never bothered to tell us this and we spent a few minutes discussing with them getting a boat pass. The staff the next two days were very helpful but overall did not feel they were overly friendly.
First let me qualify that we have not been the Venice and this is the only room I have seen there, but it was a disappointment. It was reasonably well appointed, but small and generally uncomfortable. We had a Deluxe Room, so the largest without being a suite. The staff was professional and teh bartender Bobby was a treat, so our stay was fine otherwise and possibly our expectation was too high after having much nicer rooms for less in Milan and Verona.
My partner and I arrived via water taxi to the hotels private jetty. We were checked in swiftly and given a room upgrade. The concierge took all our bags up to the room for us. We arrive in the room and was very pleased with what we saw. We also had a complimentary bottle of prosecco which we didn't expect but made us feel very special. Lovely large bedroom and bathroom which were clean and elegantly decorated. What looks like wallpaper in photos is actually material and proves a lovely and unusual feel to the room. Everyday all the staff are very friendly with warm greetings from everybody whenever you pass. The breakfast was lovely and always very tasty. A range of cereals, yoghurt, pastries, fruits and hot food such as sausages and eggs. There was even a gluten free section. Alongside this the hotel offers tea, coffee, various juices and prosecco. On our second day there was a problem with our bathroom and so the hotel upgraded us again and helped us to move out items, again the concierge couldn't so enough for us and insisted he took all our items. The hotel handeled this issue very professionally! Our second room, whilst being an upgrade, didn't feel as spacious (as we didn't replay make use of the living area. No photos of the 2nd bedroom and bathroom). However the second room did have a separate shower which we did appreciate but not all the curtains in this room fully covered the windows. All rooms have a mini bar and various snacks to indulge in. The bar in the evenings was well attended to and a reasonable price. Again with excellent service! A good location within Venice too. An excellent hotel that fully deserves all 5 stars. We would definitely return to this hotel again and recommend to others. All the staff cannot do enough for you. Thank you for our lovely stay!
Palazzo Sant' Angelo is "the place to be" for our stay in Venice. Perfect in any detail: Location (with a stunning view on the Canal Grande), Breakfast, friendly staff, beautiful area overlooking the Canal grande for the aperitivo. comfortable rooms. we will go again!
I was booked into the Sant'Angelo as part of a group tour though traveling alone and felt welcome from the moment I arrived. The location is great being right next to the vaporetto stop though best to arrive in style at the Hotel's jetty in a private launch. My room had a Venetian style balcony opening onto the Grand Canal, separate seating and bedroom areas and a large marble bathroom with two small windows, so lots of light; the decor was quite opulent, mostly red and perhaps a little full on for the summer months but very cheerful for greyer days of autumn and winter. The hotel has a small breakfast room and a good bar, but no restaurant as such, though there are plenty of dining opportunities in the area with St Mark's maybe ten minutes away and La Fenice even less, though the area around the hotel is fairly quiet. All in all my new favourite in Venice, so much so that I have already booked my next visit.
My husband and I stayed here with our son and daughter in law and we were very happy with our choice of hotel. Upon our arrival the front desk was friendly and kindly upgraded us to a suite with a grand canal view. The rooms are very spacious as well as the bathrooms. Our two night stay here was comfortable and enjoyable. We had mentioned it was our 31st wedding anniversary and as we returned to our room one evening a bottle of Prosecco was waiting for us from the staff. The breakfast buffet has a lot of options and was a great way to start our day as well. The internet was not strong which made it hard to work when needed but we were able to work through it. We would definitely stay here again!
First time in Venice. Thanks to all the reviews on Trip Advisor, we picked the perfect hotel. We asked for a room on the Grand Canal. We leaned on our balcony (and it is padded) for hours watching the world go by. We learned much about the lifestyle of the beautiful people of Venice. Marco at the front desk recommended two terrific restaurants. Room 218, King with a balcony was excellent. Thank you Venice for fulfilling my dream.
We stayed two night in a suite overlooking the Grande Canal. The room was very homely and comfortable. with a large reception room and bathroom. What made the stay so pleasant was the way we were welcomed by the hotel staff. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast room is quite small and crowded but we enjoyed the selection of food in the buffet style set up' There is a pleasant bar to stop in for a drink before setting our for dinner in the many restaurants in the area. The location of the hotel is very handy for walking, for using the river bus, floating taxi or walking.
