My husband and I visited Venice at the end of April and stayed at the Palazzo Sant'Angelo for two nights. We travelled to the hotel by shared water taxi and one of the reasons I chose this hotel was because it has its own private jetty as well as a waterbus stop outside. Check-in was quick, efficient and very welcoming. We had our room upgraded and it was so beautifully decorated it took my breath away with red and gold silk walls and a stunning spacious marble bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful in a small and cosy dining room. After exploring the surrounding area we returned to the hotel bar and drank Bellinis outside on the banks of the Grand Canal watching the world go by. Venice was the most wonderful experience and our stay at this stunning gem of a hotel was wonderful. We were just sorry that we couldn't stay longer but hope to return to Venice and the Palazzo Sant'Angelo sometime soon.

This is a gem of a hotel. Excellent location by the Grand Hotel and extremely close to a water bus stop. Our room was lovely with a fabulous bathroom. Breakfast in the hotel was delicious. We found great rates by booking on the British Airways website.

Small, very confortable, nice rooms, very friendly staff. Location is excellent right at the gran canal but with in walking distance of everything. Nice restaurants around. Small bar perfect for a Campari in the afternoon before going our for dinner

Stayed here for 2 nights in march as part of a trip for my wife's 50th birthday. Very helpful staff on reception and in the bar, very clean comfortable room, would definately recommend this hotel to others

From start to finish, this is a first-class Venetian property. As a first-time visitor to Venice, I was concerned about finding my way around. From the airport arrival, it was simple to access the Alilaguna "Linea Arancio" (orange line) by taking the elevator one flight up from baggage claim and using the moving walkway to the boat departure area. Ticket kiosks are located in the baggage claim area and are simple to use. The fare is 15 euros one-way and I believe 27 roundtrip. There is also a staffed ticket counter where tickets may be purchased. The Alilaguna boat will take you to the Sant' Angelo stop (about the fifth or sixth stop, but the announcements on the boat are clear), and when leaving the boat, you will immediately turn right and walk about 30 steps to the front door of the hotel, which is right on the Grand Canal. You will appreciate this convenience as you see visitors dragging their bags along the street for blocks and inevitably getting lost. The hotel itself is immaculate. Bar to the left, lounge to the right with a computer and printer for guests' use. The staff is professional, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is served just beyond the reception area, and includes everything from bacon, eggs and sausages, to yogurt and an assortment of fresh fruits and cereals, and a variety of baked goods. The rooms are luxurious and the bathrooms are bright and fully-equipped. The rooms all have fabric on the walls, which helps with noise-dampening. Be aware that the Grand Canal and the small canal on the right side of the hotel are not unlike roads, and traffic starts early. If you're a light sleeper, you may prefer a room in the back of the hotel, with a garden view. Hopefully I'll return to Venice, and there is no other hotel I'd even consider.

Very nice hotel right on the Grand Canal with views of the Rialto bridge. Small hotel with balcony's right on the Canal. Stand on you balcony and watch all the activities of the canal. One of the best things about the Siena Palazzo Sant'Angelo is it is right next to the vaporetto stop which makes it so convenient. The decor is certainly not your typical hotel decor but done in good taste and the beds are very comfortable. Highly recommend but book early as it fills up fast.

One of the best pros about Sina Palazzo rooms are the separate walk in! Makes life so much easier with lots of suitcases :) The afternoons are great with the bar just inside the hotel doors and nibblies for those who are drinking (great for sunset). Reception staff were helpful and another great pro is the complimentary pick up/drop off to Murano Island for the glass blowing (which is 100% worth visiting).

Great hotel to stay in!! It has an amazing location. Easy accesible with the Alilaguna service. The stop is a shirt walk from the doors of the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms Andre nice and clean. Would definitely stay there again!! Highly recommended.

Loved it. It was for a birthday present and we both had a wonderful time. It was organised through Voyage Prive with all the water taxis arranged as well. The hotel has its own jetty and is well positioned to explore the tiny streets and waterways of Venice.

Quick flight and short walk from the airport to the sea terminal and an exhilarating boat ride straight to the hotel entrance on the Grand Canal. The staff upgraded us to a junior room and couldn't do enough for us. Walked everywhere from the hotel which was central for numerous restaurants, classy shops, museums, churches and a wonderful local Vivaldi concert. Breakfast overlooking the canal, a reading room and snacks available in the bar or outside again overlooking the canal. The room was huge with period decoration and a quirky spa that soothed away aching feet! Very quiet and we slept like logs! Absolutely fabulous holiday in a hotel that was totally first class. Would have liked an evening restaurant but there were many nearby and that central position is key. Recommended for central location, comfort, culture and customer service
