I picked this property for two reasons. First, they were cheaper than any comparable hotel in this part of town. Second, the parking was only $16, as compared to $45 everywhere else. From that decision process, my expectations were low. I was wrong. This place was fantastic. These are timeshare properties in a hotel that I otherwise couldn't afford. So big win on the property! Then I was given a room on the 19th floor (out of 21). I opened the door to amazing city views from the floor to ceiling windows. Amazing, especially at night. The suite was larger than any hotel room would have been. there was a bedroom, a small bathroom, a galley kitchen that led to a nice sitting room. It was very clean, and even had a small balcony overlooking BC Place. There was nothing else I could have asked for. Location was great too. We walked everywhere! Downsides? Its not a full hotel, so no room service. Not a biggie though. A call to the front desk will bring up fresh towels and soap and stuff. Wifi was weak, but was enough to allow me to have my phone's data off and still access the internet. I will stay here every time to come to Vancouver. The savings for parking alone makes it worth it,
This timeshare hotel has great location. Many attracti are walkable for location. Near many good restaurants especially nice to have joes downstairs. Staff are great and very helpful. Negative are the rooms they are very dated and the 2 bedroom is a really odd set up. The living room has no windows and is in the interior so very dark, also painted in dark colors with dark furniture. Not a room you want to spend time in. Strangely the bedrooms have the windows and are overly bright for sleeping. Other issue is pool is on main level right where all cars drive into hotel so absolutely no privacy. A little creepy.
We were in two rooms--1902 which is a one bedroom suite with a balcony & 604 which is a hotel owned two-room suite. We preferred the upper floor with the balcony because the view of downtown Vancouver was spectacular for us country mice. I would agree that the furnishings could be a little spiffier but the location is perfect. The front desk was very helpful. I had forgotten to book the room for 3 nights--hence the move. However, the second room was ready when we checked out from the first.
The location is awesome. The hotel is dated and the rooms need to be upgraded. There is an issue with hot water. It is Luke warm at best. The air handling system needs to be cleaned. I have dust allergies and could not sleep due to wheezing and congestion. There are only 3 elevators so be prepared to wait. The bathroom is very tiny - you have to be careful not to hit your knees on the wall in front of you when you sit on the flush.
We have stayed here several times now. The 1 and 2 bdrm suites have 1 bathroom. They are comfortable and clean. Very close to the Rogers arena and an easy walk to anywhere in downtown Vancouver. There is a small and clean indoor pool.
We stayed in a 2br self contained apartment on the 15th floor. Very clean and well presented. There was a communal laundry on our floor. Friendly staff. Walking distance to shops and bus stops. Would stay here again.
The Rosedale offers the perfect location for local hop-on hop-off transport, walking distance to the Ice Hockey, Stanley Park, city shopping and the famous Robson Street shopping and food. Great customer service for our family. The consierge arranged bicycles, Cannuck tickets and rent-a-car two blocks away. A smooth, no-fuss operation, worthy of our strong recommendation.
Our room was booked through a timeshare. As others have noted, this is an amazing location. Yaletown and all the upscale restaurants are just a couple blocks away. If you wanted to eat cheap, there were also a number of reasonably priced restaurants on Robson - - especially if you like Asian food. There was an IGA grocery store and H Mart (a Korean grocery store chain) about 2 blocks away if you wanted to stay in and cook. Great shopping about six blocks down on Robson. Public transportation conveniently located nearby to take you anywhere in Vancouver. The unit itself was clean and a perfect size for 2 people. The bedroom and the bathroom were clean and well stocked. The couch in the sitting area was not comfortable, but adequate. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this Hotel especially based on the price.
While there is a mini-kitchen, if you really want to cook and entertain, book at the WorldMark at The Canadian which have full kitchens and the units are significantly larger. That said, our unit had floor to ceiling glass in the bedroom, and was well appointed with enough outlets for all our widgets. The Kerig coffeemaker with 4 pods was a nice touch with just enough to get us through our one night stay on the way to Victoria. Be warned -- parking is VERY EXPENSIVE. I opted for valet since it was just a few dollars more, but it came in at $30.25 for the night (self-park was about $5 cheaper).
We stayed in a 1 bedroom, our kids, (age 15 and 17) shared the pull out in the main area...it was a little tight. Though the room was a bit small, it was clean and quiet. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The best part is the location. Just a block up from Yaletown, and a few blocks from lots of shopping. The pool and hottub area included a workout room and a dry and wet sauna. It was bright, clean and not crowded. As expected within the city, there are some city noises but the insulation is good so the noise isn't crazy. We enjoyed use of the mini fridge as well. One negative is the water pressure in the shower was terrible. But we all survived.
