This was a fantastic hotel for Capital Reef visitors. It has a restaurant & Bar, a spa, laundry facilities, beautiful views from the porch and yoga room, etc… this was definitely one of the nicest places you can stay in the area

Nice Stay in Torrey

Very nice hotel in Torrey, great after a long day of hiking in Capitol Reef. Restaurant was good, service was excellent with our favorite intern who was working for both dinner and breakfast. A little bit of noise and all of the Roads Scholar travelers used up all the ice so none was left for other guests. Overall a solid B+ grade.

You can hear loud sound of showing from your next room bigger than your own showering sound. This is a bigger problem for people want to sleep a little early and get up early.

“Elite” room is a “Cathedral” room on the hotel website which is a newer or perhaps updated, larger room in the newer wing over the restaurant. Very nice, clean, great storage for luggage and clothes, nice size refrigerator, comfy bed. Small bathroom but adequate storage below vessel sink and walk in shower. Very good breakfast and staff in restaurant. Slight negative- shower has 2 built in benches, one on each side taking up too much floor space, and the quiet location I requested ended up being noisy from adjacency to the parking lot around the corner of my room with motorcycles and vehicles revving from 10-11pm and early morning. Overall was very positive other than that. Ask for room in new wing on upper floor away from parking lot.

This place was nice, but nothing spectacular. I did not use any of the spa facilities or the dining. We did use the laundry facilities which was decent (2 washers, 2 dryers). It would've been nice to have a little extra space around the washer/dryers, but worked well and dried clothes quickly. Personally, I do not like the bowl sinks for the bathroom, but that is a personal preference. The location was great for our needs.
