This is an older hotel that isn't all that big. Rooms were a little on the small side but it was quiet, clean and comfortable. The service was more than friendly at all times. The pool was a little on the small side but was more than adequate for my kids and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The breakfast was more than we expected so we were quite pleased with the variety of hot & cold items. Breakfast was managed by a huge ray of sunshine who I believe was named Tammy? She was so friendly and kind and really gave my kids some friendly attention and even sent them off with coloring sheets they were so excited about. This hotel is so close to the mall with MANY food options both table and quick service. We enjoyed our stay and believe it was a great value especially for the location. We would absolutely stay again when in the area.

Yes, it is time for a remodel. The hotel is a little bit worn out and would benefit from a refresh. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was the usual fair, but the wonderful service made up for it. Thank you.

This is not the Marriott, so don't come in thinking the rooms will be beautiful. It IS part of the Marriott chain and the team here does a GREAT job of service. Tammy rules the breakfast area. Talking to guests and even knows some by name. The basic Wi-Fi is slow, so upgrade if you need faster connections.

This hotel must be twenty years old, with a style that hollers 1990. From the outside, it'll have you questioning whether you want to stay here. But, the staff is super kind, and the room, while not modern, is tidy, clean, and cared for. At no time did my kids have to wear flip flops to prevent black feet. The small bathroom has been updated. This is a great example of an old hotel that has management and staff that care. It shows in the place. Walmart, Best Buy, eateries a block away...interstate 470 two blocks away. Stay at this hotel.

Our family just stayed here overnight after a long day of driving. The room was nice and comfortable, but the hotel was just starting to show a little age. Still very nice. We were hungry from being in the car so long that having a lot of food options close by was really helpful. Would stay again.

Very nice hotel. They have a pool, but I didn't use it. It was very quiet at night (aside from the fireworks; I was there on July 4). It's right next to 470 and about a mile from 70, so it's convenient. Wonderful breakfast: the BEST hotel eggs I've ever had, toast, bagels, fresh fruit (and not just apples and bananas), yogurt, juice, etc. The downside: the water was barely hot even when turned up all the way and there is NO MICROWAVE anywhere in the building (according to the desk clerk). I had leftovers that I wanted to heat up.

Fairfield Inn has figured it all out and is doing it right. A smaller, low-end motel, it still offers top notch service, a very nice breakfast buffet with hot and cold items, a comfortable bed and a very clean pool (indoor) which was refreshing after a long, hot day on the road. We liked the really hot hot tub, too. Usually they are barely warm, but not this one-it was great for working the kinks out after sitting in the car for so long. There are many chain restaurants nearby like Applebees, Old Chicago, On the Border, etc. and it is not far off I 470. Very convenient. I liked the cheerful breakfast attendant passing out bottled water. A nice touch. Only thing we didn't like were the teeny tiny towels at the pool--more like hand towels!

Tammy went above and beyond, keeping the breakfast bar open late to accommodate the guests. She constantly checked on everyone at the tables and even offered to prepare food for individuals. She made sure everyone was comfortable, happy and well fed. Lovely woman and lovely way to start the day.

We have stayed at this marriot property many times with no problems. This time was a very unpleasant experience. First I was selected as guest for the day with a special parking space. This was nice but then. The hot tub was not working at 1:30 am the chirping started. I went to front desk and even though the host was pleasant he had no idea what to do. I asked for ladder but he didn't know where to get one. I went back to room and it was still chirping. I then climbed up on bed with my wife balancing me I reached out and disconnected and took battery out of it. Finally at around 2:30 was able to lay down again but so energized that sleep did not come. Got up at 5:30 and went down to get coffee but the lutes didn't work in dining area. Probably not hotels fault for these things but it did make for an unpleasant experience.

Spent one night of a lengthy road trip at the Fairfield Inn. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room served our needs well. The free breakfast was very good. Would stay here again if the situation presented itself.
