Great spot in Ueno with super easy access to transportation (~3 min walk to train lines, 10-15 for some other ones for certain routes). Super convenient, and love being in a quieter spot than Shibuya/Shinjuku, but still being able to easy access other areas. Konbinis right around the corner is also great! Small rooms, but to be expected - you’re not staying in Tokyo to stay in your hotel room. Friendly & helpful staff - would recommend here!

We had a great experience at this hotel. The rooms were clean. The staff, especially Mr. Matsumoto, were so helpful when we needed help with accessibility. We were well taken care off and would definitely return.

This hotel was very easy to access from the metro station. The staff were very helpful when we had questions. Although our room was small(common in Japan),we had everything we needed including a small fridge,kettle and tea,and access to washers and dryers.The shower had fantastic water pressure and was very hot. i would not hesitate to stay here again!

The place was not horrible, but the overall attitude, before you even arrive to the hotel, is not very welcoming; ONLY after you pay for the accommodation, you get a VERY long list of rules, what you shouldn’t do, what is not allowed to do, and way too many other rules. Many of those rules are supposed to be known to the clients, even if they don’t read it. It is common sense…! It seems to me that the hotel is trying to cover and prevent any misunderstandings… But all of this is very unwelcoming! I live in Japan, I travel all over the world. I have never seen a hotel with so many rules… you just book a cheap looking room, who wants to get and be busy reading 2 pages of rules…? It reminds me a chapter on the very good British TV program; The Hotel inspector. They had one story on a hotel that had all those rules of don’t and do… I suggest to the owner of this hotel to watch it. No refrigerator in the rooms ! Bathroom could have been cleaned better, a few hair was there…

I couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Location, cleanliness, the staff, and the comfort were all fantastic! Location: It, for us, was in a great spot and we were able to walk to a lot of places. Cleanliness: the room wasn’t just quickly cleaned up for the next guest, everything was spot-free and the little details were all taken care of! The staff: absolutely fantastic as well. They were very friendly and always had warm greetings. The people at the front, at the buffet, and the cleaning staff always were happy to say hi and answer any questions. Comfort: thankfully, it was also a comfortable stay! Everything from the bed, to the bathroom, to the sheer sounds. I’ve stayed in nice looking hotels that had run-down AC units or loud guests. Everything worked and it worked well.
