Shiba Park Hotel

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Took for a while to figure out A/C setting. Need to increase people headcounts for sgattle service.( couldn't get on shattle due to limited headcounts assigned for each hotels) Made a mistake for reserving room rate for non refundable rate. (Due to flight situation, had to check out one day earlier but did not receive any refund for unused room) Hotel was located nice area in Tokyo. Enjoyed Shiba Park, Dojyoji temple and the Tokyo tower.

Good place to stay in Tokyo. Enjoyed every minute of it!

Wonderful. Hotel staff great, restaurant "Old City Grill" was excellent for buffet breakfast and for dinner. Elevators fast but small. Room was perfect and everything easy to understand even though I don't speak Japanese. I will stay again!

The hotel was clean, the staff were wonderful and polite. Room was spacious enough for two people and they even upgraded our room without charge. They held our bags after check out until we were ready to leave and arrangements were made to take us to the airport. They also have classes and I had a lot of fun learning something Japanese. Keep up the good work Shiba Hotel employees

Great location and they've made some nice improvements since we were there in 2014. We were very pleased

We visited Tokyo with 8-month baby. It was a pleasure staying here. I would recommend for parent of less than one year old child. The room has enough space to fit two beds and a crib (free of charge). There is also a small fridge in the room. The room is compact (Japanese style), especially with the crib taking the free space beside the bed, but comfortable enough. The hotel staff are very friendly. Location is close to restaurants and public transportation (Daimon Station, which has an elevator at exit A1). There are a few Family Mart and 7-11 within walking distance.

Great location! Staff were very friendly and the meals delicious! Very quiet, clean and very comfortable bed. Nearby, there were restaurants, shows and stores to go shopping without a cab!

For Japan, this hotel is in a good location. Business location but about 10 min walk to Hamamsucho station. word of caution if you have the JR pass, you cannot use the Toei line where the Daimon station is at although this is 5 min walk from the hotel. You have to walk 10 min ea time to Hamamasucho to get to the JR station lines. We stayed 2 days then to Kyoto then 3 more days back at this hotel. The best part is the service and direct airport limo bus from Narita. The hotel also arranges for your bus fare back at 3100 yen each way. This saved us a lot of headache with taking the regular subway. I would definitely stay again!

Location was pretty good, easily access to two different subway stations that will take everywhere around Tokyo and near cities without a problem. Besides the restaurants in house, it is close to different types of restaurants. We really enjoyed it.

room too old, beds not suitable, only the location is very good. Will not choose it next time.

DId not get to go to Tokyo after due to the Tsunami but sending Aloha to all the people of who suffer in this tragedy.

I felt that the location was very good. It was within walking distance to Tokyo Tower and Zojoji. There are also several metro/subway lines within walking distance, so visiting different parts of the city will not be a problem. There are many food places to eat at, too. In all, a very central location. The rooms were clean and there were enough amenities, and the staff were nice and helpful.

When I was first introduced to Shiba Park Hotel in 1996, it was a thriving Japanese business hotel...reasonably priced, quiet, and very conveniently located. Today the hotel has become a haven for European and American families and 'back-packers' traveling on a budget. There is no gym or pool and laundry service is expensive and not always available. The lobby is still pretty smoky at times, though the hotel does have non-smoking rooms that don't reek of stale tobacco. There are two buildings...one of which has been newly remodeled. Typcial of Japanese hotels, the pillows and mattresses are hard. The rooms are generally small and spartan, but somehow it all works. The staff is courteous and helpful.

First trip to Tokyo. Hotel excellent, no problems encountered. Staff most friendly and helpful. Hotel has direct shuttle bus from Narita airport so you do not have to take train and taxi.
