Clean, nice bedding and towels, decor pleasant. The rooms for single travelers are small, though, about 10m2 with desk, TV, serviceable open wifi but my Ethernet cord was non-functional. Pretty interior courtyard and window shades. Small hidden fridge so not noisy. Bathroom pretty luxury-typical for Japan, with heated toilet-bidet, great shower in tub, bathtub fills fast as it's 1/2 European size but spotless. The room and 4th floor carpets, furniture are redolent of stale cigarette smoke. The only non-smoking rooms are larger rooms with two twin beds that cost 3000 yen more than the single does per night. Reception can lend you an electronic air "cleaner" which seemed ineffective or a humidifier if for some reason you would want one. A/C quiet and effective. Tea and electric kettle provided daily, clean towels and a unisex night shirt. I didn't take breakfast for 1900 yen a day as there are 7/11 convenience stores about 400m in each direction. The bus 05-2 towards Tokyo Big Sight (convention center) lets off closest to hotel from Ginza bus stop 8, for 210 yen, but make sure you aim for right destination as there is another terminus possible for the same bus. The stop is the next to last one, something-Ferry, and you cross the street and the hotel is just behind a well-lit restaurant called Anniversaire. It's clean and attractive but in Europe would be a 3 not 4 star hotel. Also about 400m from the Tokyo Big Sight station of the aboveground "subway" that is the newest line, circling this international conference center/mall/port area and then taking you to the lively Shinbashi area. There is a fairly attractive walking promenade along the middle between two parallel major roads, going E to W roughly. Darkish at night but seemingly very safe if a bit boring and deserted after 10 pm. Hotel is very quiet.
There are some really good things about this hotel. The staff are welcoming and helpful, the breakfast buffet is tasty with a nice selection of Japanese and Western food. It’s close to the main attractions in Odaiba and has good transport connections. The free laundry is a bonus. Unfortunately the rooms are a let down. Cramped, scuffed and old fashioned. I can’t remember the last hotel I visited that still uses a mechanical key to open the room door. A bit of TLC and this could be a great place.
We requested a non-smoking room. They confirmed a smoking room. We emailed back and said no, a non-smoker. We arrived and they said they only had smoking rooms. We didn't want to start trying to find another hotel after a long journey and had already paid so had to accept it. Once we went down the smelly corridor to the smelly room, we dropped our bags, went out and bought some air freshener. The bathroom was smelly too. The walls were scuffed, as was the furniture. The room was cramped (smallest bedside "table" I've ever seen, about the size of a paperback), and you needed the lights on all the time. Staff were nice. Seemed clean, just smelly and badly in need of redecorating. Breakfast was pretty good. Handy for the Big Sight, and there were lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance.
If you are traveling to Tokyo for the first time, or the area you are visiting is not near Odaiba, I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel because it is quite far from the other major tourist attractions. You will be looking at spending 30 mins or more each day to travel at the very least (to US visitors who's not used to efficient subway/train travel, a 30-min trip in Tokyo could get your very far). Anyway, with the warning above in mind, this hotel is actually a bargain. The price you pay will give you a bigger than average room (in Tokyo standard). The hotel is clean, the staffs are very friendly and extremely helpful. On top of that, if you pay for free daily breakfast, you will find that it's actually "OK" for the price you pay. Odaiba isn't known for dining, and having the breakfast in the hotel can save you the hassle from searching for a restaurant in the morning (frankly, you cannot find many before the malls in the area open for business).
I was part of a tour group and we stay there for one or 2 nights. It look nice inside and outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room is ok size and our room didn't have a view but it didn't matter. Breakfast was very good as they had Western food and some Japanese food. It was nice to go for a walk as got to eat wagyu beef at a restaurant about 15 to 30 minutes if you walk there. I see the amusement park but didn't go into it. I will stay there again.
Very nice hotel. It was a good location for the conference I was attending. However it is far from all the action of Tokyo. There were 3 train stops (two lines) about 5 to 10 minutes walk away. I would stay there again if I needed to be in that area. For visiting Tokyo, I would choose a more centrally located hotel. The room was very small with a double bed. Two people, even my spouse and I would be hard pressed to share without tripping over each other. Breakfast buffet was very good. Weird thing from a North American point of view is that they have smoking and non smoking sections still.
I would highly recommend this hotel as its just 6-7 mins walk from the tokyo big sight exhibition hall. Its high end as the rooms are really clean , it’s a bit small but it’s got all the things you need in the room like a hairdryer , electric kettle , air purifier , etc. odaiba is just 5 mins walking from the hotel so you can visit the malls , vintage car museum , gundum model , different restaurants , shops , arcade games , the statue of liberty , odiaba beach and a lot of lovely places . Even the kokusai-tenjijo-seimon station is 3-4 mins walk from the hotel. You can take the limousine bus from the narita airport which will leave you at hotel sun route ariake and then you have to walk for 5 mins and you'll reach hotel trusty. Excellent service and really friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.
Room is very small, The location is superb, within 5 minutes walking from Tokyo Teleport Station and Diver City Mall. The Stuff are not very English Conversant. Had to check out at 6, the Breakfast was from 7 AM. So could not experience the food. Overall Okay experience.
Don’t expect big rooms in Japan but Hotel Trusty feels like a prison cell. Most annoying the very small breakfast area in the lobby where you have to wait 10 mins to get a seat for breakfast. Went there to visit a trade show at nearby Tokyo Big Sight but quite dissapointed, even the nearest 7-11 mart is a long walk away.
I highly recommend Hotel Trusty for anyone arriving in Tokyo for the first time. It is high end, but they do have amazing discount deals via various sites, do check them out before booking directly. The staff were all lovely and there is a shuttle directly from the airport to a hotel just a few feet from them. If you are travelling alone or with someone, this are is super safe. Bayside where they are located is a great base with many nearby attractions and just a five minute walk away there is a beautiful shopping center. Many restaurants are located within the mini mall and they are budget friendly too. There is a Seven Eleven Store nearby which has a reliable atm for all bank cards. Best place to withdraw money safely. The local rail takes one directly into the city and the staff at Hotel Trusty are always happy to help. They even provide towels when one comes in drenched as the rain can be heavy! The hotel itself is quiet, the beds super comfortable and they provide one with half price breakfasts or drinks too. Highly recommended, a home away from home!
