Room is barely bigger than a cruise ship, with very uncomfortable bed, and chairs to sit on. Staying 11 night, would like something better.

Very good condition, location and services... the standard room is too small for must (luckily we were okay but wouldn’t recommend that size to anyone)

I had a great experience at the Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Ikebukuro. The staff was friendly, helpful and went over and beyond. Our room was always clean. I also liked that the hotel was close to the train stations and yet so quiet. The hotel is very convenient to stores and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.

Carprt is dirty. Toilet has bad smell and staff cannot fix it. Bed is hard and you may feel the spring, especially on the side. Check in and out time is very busy.

Fantastic Hotel within 2 blocks of Ikebukuro train station. The room was a little small but very clean and quiet. The staff in the hotel that I interacted with were all helpful and had a good grasp of English. We had dinner at a restaurant on premise with great food. The first morning we had breakfast at the buffet. The food was all good but too expensive to eat daily. The rest of the trip we walked across the street to a local bakery and had breakfast there.

tokyo metropolitan is one of my favorite hotel in japan and i look forward to going back

Very clean and everyone was very helpful and very nice.

We were quite surprised with the amenities in our room. The biggest surprise was a complimentary smartphone. We were encouraged to use the phone outside the hotel and also to make calls to the US which we did. We reserved a small room with a double bed and even though it was compact it had everything even a safe and refrigerator we didn’t find until our last day. Hotel staff were more than helpful. And the buffet breakfast had a large selection of Japanese and American food. This was our first trip to Japan and we would stay at the Metropolitan again the location was good and like the rest of Japan it was spotless and safe.

Very good hotel. You can easy access to railway station and have shuttle bus to the airports.

Close to JR station and other major amenities. Many restaurants are nearby.

Excellent staff, great location with direct airport shuttle bus to Haneada airport. Very close to ikebukuro station.

I love the Hotel Metropolitan, it's my home in Tokyo. Staff is always pleasant and accommodating, the location cannot be beat, services and amenities are just right. I've stayed her when it was a Crowne Plaza, a International, and a JR hotel and I'm alway happy to return.

Fast Check in. Slow services when you arrive at night, especially when you have electrical issue in room.

This was our first trip to Tokyo and we only had 48 hours. The hotel was easy to find from the train station and comfortable, though the rooms are compact. We spent some time shopping at the train station, and especially enjoyed the food market in the basement of the Tobu department store.

This was a first class hotel. The staff was friendly, understood and spoke English, and was very helpful. It was very clean throughout the hotel, room included. Our room had a small refrigerator which we really liked and also appreciated the teapot and complimentary teas. The shuttle bus directly to and from Haneda airport was also very helpful. This hotel is very close to the train station and is surrounded by shopping and eating places, not to mention the convenience stores to make quick purchases or as an alternative when most eateries are closed.

Our room had a nice view of the city even though the bathroom and furniture were a little dated. And you can't beat the location, so close to department stores with superb food from their markets, ramen and udon and other convenience stores. And the train station is 2nd largest hub after Shinjuku. Good way to eat and travel like the locals.

the room is small but clean .location is great close to the MRT.the restaurant's food ok,the service is very good.i will stay there again

This hotel is great on a budget and is right across from the train station and many restaurants. The rooms are small but cozy. The staff is very friendly.
