Sheraton Miyako Hotel Tokyo

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Clean, spacious, exceptionally comfortable bed and room; excellent staff in hotel and hotel restaurants. No problem using English if you don't speak Japanese. Easy walk to two different subway stops, Shinagawa train station is a 20-min walk, or ¥1200 cab ride away. Food in restaurant was outstanding but a bit expensive. The only significant flaw was that you could often hear people in adjacent rooms when voices were raised. This could be bothersome in the middle of the night.

The hotel room was a reasonable size by Japanese standards, clean and comfortably furnished. The beds were comfortable too. The bathroom was smaller than we would have liked, it seemed like a plastic bathroom shell that creaked somewhat when walked on, only one sink and a shower curtain not a glass screen. Only one shower head on hose that was a little too short for comfort. Temperature controlled mixer faucet for shower and bath, worked well. Generally a quiet room with no noise from other guests except those passing in the corridor. Service was always prompt and polite, no complaints here. In room internet and entertainment services were adequate and additional services (i.e. cable TV etc...) optional extra. The room furniture looked a little well worn but the carpets and walls were just fine. The closet was very small and not sufficient for a two week stay. Heath Club was adequate and free to Starwood Preferred members. A big plus for the hotel was the location to public transport and being in midst of an upper class residential area, good restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. All in all a good experience. One criticism, the hotel restaurants are overpriced, quality and quantity of food per plate lacking, I suggest you don't eat in the hotel unless its for convenience, much better quality and value for money available elsewhere.

The staff was very friendly. The service from the airport to the hotel was on time and very efficient. The hotel is in a good location, and the staff is always willing to help guide you where you need to go.

My stay here was excellent. It is fantastically located. There is a subway station steps away but there is also a free shuttle service from.the hotel to two major rail hubs. The arquitecture is beautiful. Staff is polite and very efficient. I loved it.

Sheraton Miyako has a great location, very close to some important rail and subway hubs, its shuttle service to and from Meguro station makes it really easy to move through the city. The staff is really kind and eager to help, its breakfast buffet is good and fairly priced. We really had a great stay.

The Shirokanedai metro is 5 mins by walk. A 711 opposite that is a life saver for quick ATM access for international debit cards and quick breakfast picks. Shuttle to Shinagawa station is useful for bullet train connections. All the major shopping districts in Tokyo are less than 30 mins by metro rides.

Triple rooms are very hard to find in Tokyo, so I was limited in my choices but happy that we landed in the Sheraton. The room was spacious by Tokyo standards and very comfortable for myself and my 2 teens. My only complaint was an apparent discrepancy between the gym equipment available for women vs. men. The women's exercise room had no weight machines, only a few dumbbells, but I'm fairly sure the men's side had machines. There were aerobic machines available for both genders but the other equipment is accessed through the locker room, so women can't get to the weight machines.

We had an enjoyable stay at the Sheraton Miyako hotel. The location is very good, the room was spacious, the staff friendly and the value was good in expensive Tokyo.

The hotel turned out to be greatly located and the shuttle to Meguro JR stationn was really really reliable. Rooms bigger than other Tokyo hotel. Friendly staff.

The hotel had a very upscale feel to it with great concierge service for foreigners.
