We liked that we could walk downtown to a great historic Last Stop Saloon. Good food great service. Staff here was great.

Disappointed no breakfast because of covid. But nice they allowed early check in

Run down a little. The price was ratjer high for a low end hotel. The vending machines didnt work. The elevator wasnt working. Room had some bad repairs.

My experience at the front desk was excellent. Very welcoming and friendly/helpful. The room was another story. Thankfully, the bed seemed clean, and it was comfortable. But the room was not. Very dusty in the bathroom and living area media console. Two lights did not work. And, the towel rack in our room seemed to have been screwed into an electrical junction box. Whenever I grabbed the towel rack while the water was running, I was electrocuted. Will not be returning.

The building is older but not nearly as run down looking as some of the other reviews claim. The man that checked me in was pleasant to work with. They let me have my yorkie with me for a $15 deposit, no big deal. The room was good for the price. The bed EXTREMELY comfortable. They have a fridge, microwave, and a single serving coffee pot. There was some disturbances and noise late at night but it didnt last long nor did it keep me awake, but something to be aware of. There were some drug affiliated people milling around, but they seemed pretty harmless. It is downtown so you would expect as such. Overall i would absolutely stay here again.

If you want a place to stay and count your pennies then you can’t beat it. The staff is great

Friendly personnel at front desk and great breakfast!

I like the fact that it was close to the river which was nice for a run in the morning.

Excellent beds, but no desk in the room to do my office work

I did like the room with the amenities simple but all the necessities were complete. However I did not like the cleanliness in the parking lot, it’s filthy.

Nice that The Dalles Inn is in the heart of the city, an easy walk to just about everything. The room was just okay. I was hoping to use some kind of desk to set my laptop on, do some work. Front desk told me that all desks had been removed from rooms! The large chair in the room was not comfortable to sit in. The breakfast area was nice and airy. Lots of natural light.

Older hotel, clean enough though. Refrigerator did not work, only two towels for us?

Breakfast was great beds are great shower could be remodeled staff very friendly

The breakfast foods were not labeled; biscuits were hidden.

We checked in around 5:50pm from a very long drive. The room, from the wooden floor to the furniture are dusty. Thought to just ignore it since we’re on a tight schedule. We had to get out after 15 mins of getting inside the room to see friends. We came back around 11:30pm. My son grossed out when he saw the bed full of tiny strands of hair all over the upper part of the bed after he removed the pillows and the cover linen. I looked to check it out and it’s disgusting. I called front desk to let them know. The guys went up to give us fresh linen.I showed him the bed and said “Oh just tiny hairs!” “Probably from the drier”. I also mentioned to the guy how dusty the place is, he goes “Oh it’s just from the on going renovation”. When we get up in the morning I talked to the lady at the front desk. She immediately said sorry I can’t give you any discount, it’s non-refundable reservation. I said “ you know I’m not even asking for a refund, but i can tell you feel bad paying $100 for the night”. I remember the night shift guy mentioning to me he’ll probably lower the price down as he noted the reservation about the linen condition but I found it unpleasant for the lady to assume right away that I was expecting a refund when my intention is to just give me my feed back. I will never go back to this hotel again. I can’t believe how they downplay cleanliness issue. We paid total of $108 so it’s fair to expect a quality service. I’m very disappointed to their customer service.

The breakfast was great. Centrally located. Accross the street from Burgerville.
