They wouldn’t take me and I ended up in a hotel with buildings on a steep hill and no elavator, only a 130 step hill climb. The whole experience sucked. Only a old folks singer like Jimmy Buffet would build crap like this. I’d like to see him do the hill climb and then do another hill climb just as long to make it to infinity pool & bar.

$590 for 6pm to 11am; completely under construction renovation from storm, 1 restaurant/bar open no services- probably 10 people at whole resort we got stuck on some back corner property looks like it’s gorgeous when functional but it’s barely functional right now

Very deceitful business practices as we paid full price months ahead of time, only to find out 2 weeks in advance of our stay that most of the resort is shut down. This included half the dining, all in-room dining, and pool and hot tub services. Our trip was non-refundable so that wasn't an option. The only breakfast dining area is a continental breakfast buffet that is a flat $25 p/person, outside with little cover when the weather turns. In room coffee is a daily fee which is annoying. The room itself was infested with ants almost everywhere but the bed and balcony were still quite comfortable. Construction was incessant from 7am to 5-6pm, woke us up every day (even Sunday) and made staying in the room during bad weather even more frustrating. The sounds rang through the entire resort including out by the beach and pool. A worker stopped to chat with me and explained that the renovations were likely to completed sometime in October of 2019. The workers were also roughly 100 feet from our room and dumping hazardous materials into the construction lift while wearing masks as the dust blew away in our general direction regularly. If you don't want to breathe it, I'm pretty sure the guests don't either. All together it left us feeling completely duped and extorted out a lot of money that could've paid for a beautiful vacation elsewhere.

Don’t stay at this hotel!! Orbitz should remove it entirely. It’s horrible. The hotel is a mess. The damage is extreme. There are no amenities. No dining, room service, spa, etc. it is at beat a 2 star with a great view and 6 star prices. The hotel is understaffed as well. Most disappointing hotel experience ever! ORBITZ don’t help perpetuate this fraud and gouging of your clients.

Major construction, noise and limited facilities. No campus maps available. Awakened by noise at 7AM from construction. The pool is terrific.

The staff was amazingly friendly and the hotel was very well maintained. I would recommend the Ritz for anyone at anytime.

We had a wonderful trip. Our only complaint was the extra bed in the room (sofa bed) was not up to Ritz standards!!

We stayed 8 nights at this Ritz Carlton hotel and enjoyed our stay. The beach was nice with plenty of opportunities to relax and read a book and have a cocktail delivered by the friendly staff. I especially enjoyed the ability to take a sailboat out in the bay. The location made it easy to take a quick cab ride to the St John Ferry. My only issue was that the pool was still under construction. When we booked the trip it was suppose to have been completed by the time we arrived.

Room was not ready at 3 pm. Great location. Needs update bad . Pool and gardens were great. Go to red hook for better food.

Amazing location and beautiful property. Friendliest staff ever! Awesome water sports. Great food! Lovely bartenders!!! All we need now is memory foam mattresses.

The hotel was beautiful, staff the friendliest I've ever encountered. However I was not informed that 2 out of the 4 days I was there the pool and beach service were closed due to renovations. Granted they did offer the club part pool/beach but it was not the same infinity pool and beach. Just really wish that was stated when I booked the trip

The staff does not really get customer service. Some do, most don't. We had our bed made and new sheets put on one day while we were out. The comforter they put on the bed had a blood stain. When we got back to the room we noticed it and called housekeeping. They apologized and sent someone up. He brought only sheets, which we did not need. He apologized, DID NOT TAKE THE BLOODY comforter, and said he would be back. After waiting, the man came back and brought a big plastic bag with a comforter inside, and took the dirty one. Then i go to open it after he leaves, and its a bag of pillows!!! SO FRUSTRATING when its 11pm at night and you want to go to bed! So i call down, they don't really offer any apologies, and send a different person up with a comforter. That person was not apologetic at all, just very matter of fact about it all and acted like it was no big deal. Also, their food is overpriced, which is fine, we expected that, but its not even that good. Thats the let down. overpriced and not good. Dinner on the beach was amazing, but again the meal fell short. We had our best meals outside of the resort, infant best meal was at Havana Blue, amazing views and great meal at the Marriott resort! I still would recommend the overpriced hotel, because its still the nicest on St. Thomas I think.

Went to st Thomas to get away for thanksgiving .... Perfect spot !

Hotel is not as advertise. Staff was RUDE & unhelpful. Airline lost our luggage and the RITZ sent us to KMART....REALLY!!! Paid for Ocean View Room they gave us Resort view with a glimpse of ocean (had to step on balcony to see ocean) rooms were not cleaned until late afternoon only after having to call and no turn down at night. Left plate over 2 days on counter, dirty spoons. Absolutely worse experience of my life.

This property is worth the splurge. Everything is immaculate, room was very comfortable and great amenities, staff is excellent.

Overall great stay! Room was spacious and clean. Well appointed. View was lovely, and hotel grounds were immaculate. Only problem was the lack of dining choices that were open on site. It was the off season so it's acceptable. Overall 5 star experience!

The Ritz Carlton is a very nice hotel, but the service at this hotel was amazing! Great place would recommend and have already to many people. We spent our honeymoon here and will come back for sure for an anniversary!

Never met a staff that does a better job of making your stay a wonderful experience. Views can't be beat. Location is quiet and private. Truly Paradise. My favorite was the water sports activities were included in your package.

This was a beautiful property! Surprised at how many steps there was though. Nice staff. Not near enough gift shops/stores on property. Disappointed that the ritz Carlton did not have any shuttles or cars for their customers. Had to use taxi cabs to go everywhere. Didn't expect that. Overall, we did love it and had a great time!
