FOOD: The food was excellent. Los Morales restaurant is great. BEACH: White sand. Plenty of beach chairs. OCEAN: Really bad. Seaweed is all over the place, and it it 3-4 feet between the beach and the ocean. Some days they cleaned it and some days they did not. There are many small and big stones in the ocean and you have to be very careful when you walk. One one side of the hotel the ocean has big waves. On the other side, it is pretty smooth, but you walk for a coupe of minutes and the water is only 3-4 feet high. ROOMS: We were in one room that we liked and then in another one that we did not. Even though the layout was the same, but it was darker and AC was blowing like crazy from the top, and we could not change the fan speed. STAFF: Very helpful. ROOM CHANGE: If you stay past Saturday, do not book this hotel. They will make you change the rooms. It is very inconvenient. They tell you, it takes 30-60 min, but it took them have a day to do it and you have to go back and force and remind them. TIMESHARE: They promise you free tours if you listen to this presentation for 90 min. It took over 2 hours. Before they go to the tour, they bring you to 2 stores for 90 min. Nobody told us about this. Then, at the tour, you have to pay extra for ATVs.. Nobody told us about this too. ENTERTAINMENT: There are only 2 shows (Tuesday and Thursday) also there is a band, pool table and ping pong table.

Great amenities, new rooms, attentive service, tasty food. Beach is amazing as well.

Really enjoyed our stay. Great place. Awesome beach. Staff was good too. I thought the beds were terrible, and weird that if you have one of the smaller rooms, then you can only have two full beds. They don’t offer a king. So if you’re there as a couple, plan on spending the week in different beds. The food in La Palapa is ok. I wish they would have had more options. The Japanese food that they do on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights is the best. Sign up for that for sure. Overall, it’s a pretty great place.

Stunning setting with a great staff. We had so much fun we didn’t leave the resort all week.

My main issue with this hotel is that I was lead to believe that it was closer to Playa del Carmen center. It is too far to walk and the shuttles do not run frequently plus most of the shuttle times have a charge to the hotel guests to go to town. I would never have booked the hotel if I knew this. Apart from that main complaint, the hotel is a nice hotel with good food and excellent staff. It is spacious and offers nice activities and beach and poolside relaxation. I give the hotel a good review apart from location.

As a family, unfortunately we could not enjoy a lot because we got sick, nothing to do with the hotel. Hotel is nicely located on beach with nice ocean views. Rooms were big with kitchenette. Nice pools which were not crazily busy. It had a nice convenience store where people who did not have all inclusive package could buy groceries. We bought medicines. Only slightly negative factors were: 1. Limited numbers of restaurants in the complex. You can go to downtown but have to pay for the transport. 2. No night time entertainment.

Beyond my expectations. Great service and crowd. Food and drinks served non stoo at the pool, beach and our room. Olny thing i would like to have is entertainment. Little bit quiet for me.

Hotel is very good so are beach and ocean, but food is so-so.

It was beautiful and food was good. Staff was friendly. Very quiet.

Best sll inclusive I have stayed at. Great staff, location, food and drinks

While we were there, they were having a little trouble getting their wait staff and the kitchen in the large "Palapa" dining room to work well together. But they had a great supervisor Juan Carlos who was taking charge, bringing change, and unafraid to point out the problems so they could be addressed. In general we ate well when we ate there, especially for the Thanksgiving dinner.

Good Customer Sercices Experience.. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. At the Front Desk Maria and Marco make a difference, trying to accommodate us in the best room as possible. Is a place where you can just relax with family and friends not crowded and is beach front, if you want to go to Shopping or eat outside the town is just 5 minutes driving, hotel provide a shuttle services but you also can pay your own Taxi and you would pay around $5. Highly recommend

Our one bedroom suite was perfect for our family. The two twin Murphy beds in the living room were perfect for our 4 and 6 year old. The grounds were very well kept and the pools were great. My kids enjoyed the ceramics painting and the cost was very reasonable about $8-10 per item. The staff is totally there to make your vacation amazing. The buffet was good and dinner at the fancy restaurant was very tasty. This is a perfect place to just relax and enjoy your vacation. We did kayak one day and it was fun. If you want a relaxing, laid back place... this will work for you. We would definitely come back to the Royal Haciendas for another vacation!

This is not a resort I'd recommend. Upon the hour long checkin process I was even told by staff they weren't a resort. It's more of a condo rental location. I expected more for the price.

The employees and staff were very professional and worked very hard. Room was so big for two of us that had stayed. The ocean did have some rocks but the hotel can't control that. Perfect for family and not as crowded as Cancun can get.

Enjoyed the beach and villa size, clean resort. Food options are somewhat limited.

Nice facility but not great if your looking for things to do at a resort. Pool and beach is about it... you will find yourself leaving a lot unless you want to live by pool. Food was just ok... at best. Not a lot of options at buffet other than the themed food. Servers were slow to acknowledge and service. Concierge was supposed to be our "allie" but gave us excursion "discount" that was way more than we got ourselves online? Timeshare salespeople were there but were respectable.

Second time in the area and this resort did not disappoint. Very up our alley...quiet enough, not drunk partiers running around, family friendly. Loved the outdoor seating and how open the main buffet was. Food was plentiful and good (not sure what people are really complaining about food and upcharges...it was never a surprise and not out of control. you don't want the upcharge, don't order it-it wasn't like there were other great options!) It is odd the whole signing out your bill....had to wait for it often while I just would have preferred to get going...leave the tip and go. Loved that waiters came around often to the beach and pool for food/drink orders. Never had to wait long. We had the smaller B room and it worked well for the four of us..we did not feel like we were on top of each other as there was a door separating the bathroom/"kitchenette" area if I wanted to get going earlier than the rest of my family. Balcony was nice...even on the first floor I felt that we were high enough from the main walkways for some privacy. I will absolutely be back.

The resort is exelent but their is not entertainment at all for adults. They do not have water equipments. The resort it's very quiet. They only have one daily restaurant and we had to wait in line for a long time to get fry eggs or to get steaks. We spected more for the amount of money that we paid.

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at The Royal Haciendas and it gets better every time! The all inclusive plan is worth every penny!
