Weird guy outside with 3 foot rod smacking it to the curb. Food was crap and old. I could deal with that but to top it off a couple of buses with teenagers showed up at 11pm and screamed and hollered until 2am then up at 5 am screaming and hollering. The rooms antique , beds are 20 years old and the employees act like the stereo type and pretend they don't understand when you ask them things like if they could help keep the screaming and slamming doors down. Bad area, crap hotel, dirty and gross.
Rooms we large and comfortable. Bed was king size. A bit noisy from pool and restaurant area during the evening. Staff were friendly and helpful especially the young lady on the morning of Sunday 25 th June. Plenty of eating places close by and the hotel restaurant was good also. An easy walk of about 20 minutes to the centre of San Jose. Ideal for the airport too.
the rooms are quite comfortable, and the location was very convenient for us, since we were taking a bus next day to Nosara. they were very cooperative to leave us some breakfast ready since we were leaving before the kitchen opens. very modern rooms. The national stadium is nearby, in case you are going for a concert or something there.
Nice hotel. On the second time I was there I was put in a crazy big suite which was a little impersonal. They have a nice menu and the breakfast buffet is really great, lots of selection and tasty. They are friendly and speak English.
Stayed here one night at end of a tour. First impression is good with nice lobby area, restaurant , pool etc. It appears the money has been spent in these areas rather the bedrooms. Once you left reception the stairways and hallways were dark with stained carpets . Bedrooms were very dated and basic, three beds in the room crammed in, no AC, tired bathroom, although there was hot water! No sound proofing between rooms and hallways. Vented glass at top of walls into hallways allowing more noise to enter room. The pool area was a nice central area but only had four sun loungers . The hotel,is in a suburb a long walk from the city centre but there are a few bars, restaurants and supermarket within walking distance It is an o k place for a quick one night before leaving for airport although personally would stay out near the airport if leaving early morning due to traffic congestion
Their website does not accurately depict the room you will get. Old and dated with no ac. My room backed up to what sounded like an auto repair shop with lots on banging noise at 8am. The rooms are clean though.
Having arrived off a 12 flight from Heathrow, I met my sister at this hotel that her tour company had booked. Have you ever stay in a place where you don't want to touch anything? Well this is it! There are photos on the website of refurbished rooms, but there is a whole section of 50s rooms reminiscent of backpackers in south east Asia 20 years ago. Arghhh. Even thinking of it now makes my skin crawl. I pulled back my bed sheets to find that they weren't fresh (a couple of hairs and creases), so I pulled out a blanket to lie on.. but there were dried up white milk stains on them.. I really hope it was milk. Electric sockets dangling, every noise and movement hear through thin walls. Apart from that the breakfast was ok.
Since January, I had to attend some trainings in this hotel and the food was good. While I had the dinner, there was no live music so do not expect that; however, you can expect a great food. Service is good as well. It is in San Jose Downtown, very close to the highway in the essence that if you just want to go from the airport to the hotel, this place may fit your needs.
We stayed for 10 days at the recommendation of a Clinic where I was having surgery. It is a great location, easy walking distance to many places. The small boutique hotel is nice, very clean, very friendly staff. Our room and bathroom could have used some upgrading. We had 2 beds uniquely arranged, AC worked as well as TV although the AC was only used 2 x as the weather was nice. The restaurant staff and food are outstanding, especially Elton who seems to work everyday. Pool and grounds are beautiful. With an upgraded/updated room, we would recommend this hotel and stay there again. Many taxi drivers are not familiar with the hotel, so take their card with you with the address.
The hotel is small little quaint hotel close to supermarket and Avenue Centraal. Came here to visit for medical reasons and this hotel was suggested by the clinic. See clinic and hotel have a great relationship and provide pre-and post-care services which are absolutely fantastic. The staff at the hotel arranged all of our transport to and from the clinic. The hotel is very customer friendly and in fact have a nurse on staff who has come and check on us every day. With breakfast and WiFi included this hotel simply works
