I had to wait in line 15 minutes at front desk to check into my room. My room was not ready when I checked in at 1:40pm on 1/3. I was told I had to wait an hour, and then come back. An hour later, I had to wait in line at the front desk another 10 minutes. I ultimately got into my room after 3pm.

We had 3 issues with our stay. Breakfast was not the best. Horrible WHITE hard bread and regular sliced bread. Too much Costa Rican food of rice and black beans, sweet plantains. This is a 5 star INTERNATIONAL hotel and the must think that many INTERNATIONAL travelers don’t like this type of food which was offered every day!

Stayed here 2 nights. Everything about the hotel was excellent. From the appearance of the hotel ,the cleanliness of the entire hotel and grounds, the buffet restaurant,quality of the food, and the overall kindness of the staff was way better than expected. The botanical garden and landscaping surrounding the hotel was extra special(the grounds crew does an amazing job at maintaining all the beautiful plants and trees on the property). The front desk staff (Brandon and Alonso were very helpful in answering questions we had). This is my first visit to Costa Rica and will definitely come back here on future visits.

We arrived to the hotel after 5 days in Manuel Antonio ahead of a flight the following morning. First off, I book a king bed for me and my girlfriend but they gave us two twin beds and said that’s all they had. In addition, they advertise a 24/7 shuttle to the airport (which is why we booked the hotel) but they don’t tell you it only runs every 2 hours and would not work with our flight time so they told me that I could request the bellhop call a taxi in the morning. Upon returning to the lobby at 5am for our 8am flight, there was nobody in the lobby to help us (despite being guaranteed there would be someone to call us a taxi).

I was promised airport shuttle for our flight and that was primary reason we selected this hotel. At check in they offered shuttle at 2 am which was 5 hour before our flight time even though it was unsafe as we had baby and family with us. We felt cheated by wrong advertising of this hotel and Expedia VIP promise.
