We had a the master suite, which was perfect for family of 4. The kids had a room with 2 doubles and the master had 1 king. 2 bathrooms and a living/sitting area right next to the gourgous pool area. Staff was very friendly and spoke good english. Hard Rock Costa Rica within walking distance also :)-

This hotel is everything you could want and more. It has the best breakfast buffet everyday and somehow has the best bacon in the world. The staff are extremely warm and nice (and do not seem to get ruffled by the bad tourist behaviors and lack of etiquette). The open air design is unbelievable. Convenience stores and multiple restaurants and a shopping mall all within walking distance. The comfort and space of the rooms are like none other. I checked in and when I asked for the wifi code the woman checking me in said - "You booked through Orbitz and it was not included - but you have stayed here before so I will give it to you." Nicely done!

The restaurant staffs are very welcoming and great service. Only suggestion would be, have more vegetarian options.

Nice pool and good continental breakfast. Nice staff, comfortable beds and clean.

I had a nice stay. The food and drink prices are way to expensive!!

This is a very comfortable hotel if you are doing business in the San Jose area. The room was very nice and staff did a nice job. Would have liked a refrigerator in the room. Pool area was beautiful.

Great experience I have stayed there twice and I recommend, great staff, great food, beautiful and clean environment. Love it and will be back!

Nice and calm, food is very good and the staff are very nice!!!

We spent one night here before we needing to switch to our timeshare for the week. The place is nothing spectacular. Good if you are there for business because close to downtown San Jose. Pool and onsite amenities lacking if you are traveling as a family. Again a good hotel for business travel. Very close to the airport.

Used this hotel for an overnight stay before flight the next afternoon. We arrived around 4 PM and the stay was great from beginning to end. Not your usual institutional Doubletree, but a beautifully designed Costa Rica hotel. Costa Rican roads can be confusing but we were able to find the hotel. Self-park was tight because of meetings there but we found a place. Friendly bellmen helped us in to our room. Dinner was pretty good for a hotel I had a filet mignon which was not cheap but was quite good. For $28 I got a beautiful piece of meat in a sauce and four asparagus spears could have used a potato or a piece of tried My husband's sea bass was a bit overcooked but fairly good and his place was filled with vegetables and potatoes. Service was excellent. AT $18/person breakfast buffet was not worth it for us (I mean, who needs to eat $18 worth of food for breakfast?) but the coffee in room was perfect and we had some rolls with us. Coffee bar in lobby was terrific both sandwiches for flight. It was a little hard to get out of the hotel road-wise but next time we'll know how to do it. We'll definitely go back although free internet in room would have be good.

this was perfect for us because it was a short drive to the airport. The facility is GREAT! They have a terrific pool/hot tub. Are only regret is that we arrived late and could not take advantage of the pool. We did enjoy the very nice bar with multiple TVs for watching American Football.

After traveling on an airplane for many hours this hotel was a sight for sore eyes. The architecture of this hotel is beautiful. We only stayed for one night and breakfast the next day; the room was clean and comfy, everyone was so helpful and inviting. The breakfast had a number of different things to choose from including local dishes. The neighborhood around the hotel was also very comforting and walk-able.

Nice rooms, free parking & very pet friendly! Delicious cookie at check-in!

The staff service was excellent, check-in/out was quick, easy and problem free. Taxis waiting right outside 24/7. Great bartender, beautiful pool, casino, comfortable beds, clean room and hot showers. Couldn't have been better.

Beautiful hotel with a staff that is anxious to please. Got in around 5 p.m. and left at 6 a.m. but our short stay was wonderful. Drinks at the pool bar, dinner at the restaurant. All was relaxing and fun.

The rooms were huge. Staff was amazing always smiling and they go out of thier way. The pool and jacuzzi was great. Only bad part is they do not have restaurants in hotel except one and the food was so so. Wish they had more food choices.

Close to the airport, comfortable rooms and a great staff! Walking distance to several restaurants, a supermarket and a mall. Great stay!

Everything was lovely at Cariari...the service at the resturant downstairs was terrible..alot of the staff was very noisy and didn't check up on tables nor take away dishes..not even the bread basket..nor ask if you wanted any refills, etc.. Poor, poor, poor, food service for such a nice place..I definitely would stay again for the extra clean an comfortable room and great Tico breakfast and price..

Linda greeted us at the front door and welcomed us.

close to the airport for easy in and out on travel days. spacious rooms almost have too much "free" space". free internet in lobby, pool and jacuzzi next to garden bar and restaurant nice place to relax after a long day.
