Everyone was super-friendly, but until we were in our bathing suits did anyone tell us the main pool was drained for repairs. The rehearsed lines stated they had 3 pools, yet all we encountered were 1 filled with leaves, one in the shade and cold, and a jacuzzi too close to the eating/bar area to enjoy but with trash floating in it anyway. Fitness area was barely enough, even for a hotel, and our room smelled like mildew and took a while to cool after turning the AC on high to try to override the odor. Otherwise, the room was good, especially for the price we paid, and the breakfast was great including our wonderful server. One situation I encountered was accidentally leaving some clothing in a drawer. I realized it a day or two later so called and they very willingly offered to look for it and call back. Not hearing from them I followed up the next day (they mentioned they were just about the contact me), but they did have my items and agreed to hold them until I returned through the area toward the airport in 5 or so days. Upon receipt my favorite of the 5 things was not in the bag, but otherwise I appreciated getting back what I did. Being close to the airport this was a fine location for us to spend one day before our planned tour began, especially for the price, but in hindsight it might have been worth a little extra to be further with nicer amenities or even closer to the city center to easily enjoy checking it out with our limited time.

Arrived late at night and needed to have a good hotel close to the airport, arranged for a shuttle prior to travel, missed the shuttle because of the long immigrant line up...Needed to make several important phone call in Costa Rica the next morining;when I used the phone to dial the local numbers in Costa Rica which I needed to connect to...phone seemed like it was working; it had a dial tone but the numbers kept saying they were busy, finally I realised that something must have been wrong with the phone and contacted the front desk who sent someone to fix the phone; at this time I had wasted all morning trying to call out and was checking out at noon...very disappointed and would not use this hotel in the future...

Wyndham Herradura is always my first choice the night before flying out of Costa Rica. Great amenities and service, plus airport shuttle.

Very nice the staff is great the rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet is great

It appears the entrance has been upgraded and apparently one room which they took their photos in, however this is not true to the hotel.

Mattress was very uncomfortable. No fridge in the room. Room felt tight. The hotel it self was hard to find.

We had a 7am flight so wanted to stay by the airport and take the shuttle. The staff was very nice, check-in was easy, the hotel was clean, and the shuttle left on time(once per hour at the top of the hour starting at 5am). The only downsides were our room had a strong mildew odor and all the restaurants are very expensive. We ate a pizza in the lobby bar with our kids as that was the best option without spending $100.

The location of the hotel is convenient. There's a casino in the beautiful lobby and 3 restaurants on site. The 3 massive resort style pools and spa are a real treat. Our room was a bit tired and could use a facelift to match the gorgeous Lobby area.

The breakfast buffet is quite ample, great swimming pool and exercise areas, dining options on-site were fantastic, especially Quattro. The happy hour at the bar next to the casino was superb, almost free drinks!

On my second visit to the Wyndham I was charged for early arrival only to learn that the water was turned off. They did refund the early arrival fee. This room was older, bigger but lacked a fridge. I could feel springs on the bed, the sheets were scratchy and got several mosquito bites. This room needed updating but liked the size of it. The pools were too cold for anyone to swim it. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful

very comfortable! specially, lobby staffs are very kind.

breakfast, swimming pool, location, cleanliness all are excelent

Was a little disappointed when we checked in to two rooms and they were put on opposite sides of the hallway (instead of adjoining). Our kids had a poolside room and we have a view of the alley.

The ac units in the room are loud and annoying, the shower liner smelled like mold and getting in and out of the tubs was cumbersome. And the pillows need to be replaced

Had a pleasant stay. Bathroom needs improvement. Breakfast is nice. The tourist drivers attached to the hotel are nice, but little expensive.

had to have my wife call me at 0530 because couldn't raise the desk at midnight for a wake up call.

Hotel was great, but the noise level was really high. There seems to be a lot of parties here (casino and bars attached) that create a lot of sounds. They had high level bass that kept both my father and me up all night. Party went till 4:30 in the morning.

Nice hotel, good breakfast buffet, but the eggs had ham in them and the server said I had to pay for eggs without ham. No big deal I had other choices but this is customer service. The landscaping is very nice. There is an updated portion of the hotel and an old portion. Stay in the updated rooms. Take out the in room jacuzzis and redo the bathrooms they are dated, and most of all heat the swimming pools and outdoor spa! Water is way too cold! Work on the quality of the cocktails served. All in all a nice hotel, clean, located close to the airport with free shuttle, and very nice staff.

Helpful staff, average room but clean. Breakfast buffet limited variety. Average overall.

Nice end of trip stay close to airport. Nice pool area and breakfast was included poolside. Casino on premises and Planet Hollywood in parking lot. Matt
