This was my second time staying at this hotel. My first experience here was much better than the second. My room this time was not as clean, we had no towels in the bathroom and the sink was barely working. I did enjoy the breakfast buffet and the pool area along with the free wifi.

Close proximity to stores and super mercado for any needs. Great walk-ability to several museums and points of interest. Nice coffee cafes and bakeries for fresh rolls in the morning. Park across the street and the National Park which was just a few blocks away provided great entertainment and quiet places to sit and enjoy the weather.

This hotel was centrally located, walking distance from museums, restaurants and shopping. The concierge was very helpful as were all hotel staff. This was a great choice!

I booked the hotel through Orbiz. I don´t know if this influenced the quality of the room asigned. The staff wasn´t very custurmer oriented. The room was ran down. The blowdryer was kept in a drawer instead of being set on the wal as usual. There was no appropiate place for the toilet paper; it was put on the top of the bathroom cabinet. Not a single bottle of wáter was put as courtesy. Holiday Inn hotels in El Salvador are much better kept.

Excellent pool , but the gym needs heaviest dumbells

Treated my wife like a prositute because she is hispanic. Horrible service and unfriendly staff. Save your money and stay anywhere else.

The Holiday Inn Aurola is a very nice hotel located in downtown San jose. The staff was very friendly and they even exchange money for you. Multiple restaurants that serve good food and the room service is amazing. It's an older hotel but well maintained. Only issues was the TV was very old and the Internet had some problems. Wasn't very fast and they changed the password without notifying anyone which was frustrating to say the least.

I Can't Imagine A Better Hotel For The Price, Location, And Facilities. This Will Be My Place To Stay If I Ever Return

The hotel was great. Staff was nice, food was plentiful and tasty. No complaints.

Beautiful view of the mountains. Very quiet room area where we srated. Easy access to taxi cabs, I would recommend the hotel to friends and family.

No smoke detector , old room old everything ,not good at all food sucked bad

Great hotel, not expensive, very very comfortable, staff is very nice, good food, good bar. Downtown San José, 25 min from airport. It was a great stay!

This hotel was centrally located. Fair service. They charge too much for internet access, it should be included in the cost since other hotels provide WiFi for free now and days.

I stayed at this hotel years ago and had a great time. Customer service was wonderful. Not sure what happened this time around. I stayed for one week last week and everything about this place was a dump. Customer service was horrible, hotel had a musty smell to it. The breakfast offered was never fresh. You can see that the dish with butter in it was the same dish everyday. They could at least have put the butter on a different dish to make one think they made an effort to provide something fresh. And to top it off, within minutes of my arrival I found a bug on my bed. I will never go back to this hotel. Not even if it were free.

We had a very pleasent stay at the Holiday Inn Aurola. The staff was great, the room very clean, the breakfast bar offered a big choice of different foods, the restaurant is very nice and the heated indoor pool is overwhelming. We only were surprised that we had to leave the key for our car with the bellboy due to any emergency, but in the end this turned out to be any problem at all. In short: We can´t imagine a better stay at this hotel.

The staff was really nice. The room was comfortable, clean and the hotel ammenities are as stated for a 5 stars hotel. The breakfast buffet was good too, with variety and fresh food since early morning. The hotel is located in downtown San Jose, which makes it perfect for business stays, mainly with governmental offices. The city itself does not have many ammenities, but the hotel location makes it easy to reach for local entertainment and small but good museums (Jade, Gold, Numismatics, CR national history and art).

I really like this hotel, Stayed there about 7 nights on 3 different dates. The staff, location, room, bathroom are great. The buffet breakfast has very few items....Everything else is perfect. its rated a 3 stars, but it is better than other San Jose 4 stars hotel...Great value for your money

Good hotel if you are staying in San Jose for any time. It is located in a safe neighborhood and very convenient if you are taking a bus anywhere. The staff is amazing and the hotel itself is good.

I stayed here two days and they treated us very well. They had a breakfast buffet that was rico!! We actually had three parot birds land outside our window ledge. I will stay here again!!

It is located in the heart of San Jose. Everything is a walking distance and a quite area. It is easy to access to tour bus which is going to other travel area. Near the hotel, the morazo park is so beautiful. The staff are so friendly and helpful to get a local information.
