A very good stay.

I would like to first say thank you to Cameron. Christian, Dorothy, and Julio for being wonderful hosts during my brief stay. Each of them at different times went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The Victorian Hotel is a wonderful older house with classic charm. Aside from the charm, it had plentiful hot water, my room had a great big bathtub tha was great to soak in, and each room has air conditioning. Soap, hair dryer, everything good expect to find, you will.. It's in a perfect spot on Paseo Colon which is a heavy traffic, main boulevard but you'll hear little city noise. The free breakfast is huge and tasty and would run you close to twenty US dollars at Sopa Tapia. The people and the place represent the spirit of San José very well. Again, my thanks.

One night stay

This is a beautifully restored Victorian house. The breakfast is delicious, the staff and owner couldn't be nicer or more facilitating. We were able to leave our luggage there all day and pass the time in the lobby. The area isn't very nice but when you're in hotel you aren't aware of it. The second floor rooms are up the stairs, since there's no elevator.

Ein Juwel in San José – Unbezahlbar Noch nie zuvor habe ich Menschen getroffen, die so freundlich, herzlich und aufrichtig sind wie im Hotel Victorian. Vom ersten Lächeln bis zum letzten Detail wird jeder Moment mit einer Aufmerksamkeit gestaltet, die unbezahlbar ist. Das Personal und der Besitzer sind wirklich außergewöhnlich: Sie strahlen Menschlichkeit, Respekt und Wärme aus, sodass man sich sofort willkommen und geborgen fühlt. Mehr als ein Hotel – es ist, als würde man bei guten Freunden wohnen, wo jede Geste echte Gastfreundschaft vermittelt. Wenn ich dieser Erfahrung einen Wert geben müsste, wären es keine Sterne, sondern 5 Millionen Euro – denn was man hier bekommt, geht weit über das Materielle hinaus. Es ist ein Schatz der Gastfreundschaft, der im Herzen bleibt. Rundown but with nice staff

This place is quite rundown and not as nice as it looks in the photos. However, the breakfast is okay, and the staff are very friendly. It's well located, as you can simply walk along the same street and reach the Mercado Central and other attractions. Even though it's located on a very trafficked street, the room that we got was really quiet.
