The Space:

Step into a one-of-a-kind three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath retreat full of vibrant color, creative spirit, and laid-back charm in the heart of coastal San Diego. This eclectic bohemian home is bursting with personality, from hand-painted murals to mismatched decor, and it radiates warmth, love, and soulful energy throughout. Inside, you'll find two spacious living rooms designed for connection and comfort. One features a large L-shaped couch and a smart TV, perfect for movie nights or relaxing with friends and family. The updated kitchen includes a gas stove, ample counter space, and bar seating, opening seamlessly to the main living and dining areas. A full dining table seats five and looks out to the lush backyard. Each bedroom offers its own unique character. To the right of the entry, a cheerful and creative space features a daybed that converts to a queen, blackout blinds, closet space, and a small table perfect for crafts, reading, or morning coffee. We had high expectations for this property, but unfortunately our experience fell short due to several issues that were not clearly represented in the listing.First, the listing indicates a second queen mattress; however, this is not an actual mattress but rather a thin pad. This was misleading and did not provide the level of comfort we expected.Additionally, while the home does offer private areas and outdoor space, it was not made explicit that there is another tenant residing upstairs in the house. While this may technically align with VRBO policy, it was not clearly disclosed in a way that sets proper expectations for guests seeking a fully private stay.The outdoor space also appeared neglected. The lawn was overgrown with weeds and plants, and the condition made it difficult to use amenities like the fire pit.Although the home generally appeared clean upon arrival, the shower head was covered in mold and mildew, which was concerning and detracted from the overall cleanliness.We also had an interaction with the management company during our stay. When we raised concerns about the upstairs tenant and the misleading mattress description, the response we received was simply that they are “only the management company,” which was disappointing and not particularly helpful.With some attention to detail, clearer communication, and general upkeep, this property could be a great rental. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

We have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals over the years and this was one of our all time favorites. The condo is very quiet and comfortable and is just as described on the website. The pool and the hot tub at the complex are very nice. Ginnie, the host, is very friendly and was extremely responsive to any questions or requests, both before and during our stay.The location is excellent. You can walk to the Ventana trail head and it's just a short drive to the trails at Sabino Canyon. We found the scenery in both to be awesome!A tip for future guests. There is a strip plaza only five minutes from the condo where there is a Basha's grocery store (we preferred the Safeway in the other direction). However, in that plaza are two small unassuming restaurants, Inca's Peruvian Cuisine and Tuk Tuk Thai. The food at both was superb! Highly recommend.We also highly recommend this rental.

We loved our stay at the Boho Oasis. The kitchen was well stocked. The pool and hot tub were a hit for our family. The beds were comfortable and we could even walk to PB for dinner. We were close to downtown and the beaches which made this a great location for sightseeing in SD. Overall this place exceeded our expectations.

Such a cute “beach town” bungalow! My husband and I stayed here for a quick romantic get away for his 60th birthday. I picked the house because it looked adorable in the photos and had a beautiful pool and hot tub! It was glorious! We really enjoyed the backyard. Sooo relaxing! The bed was comfortable. The linens looked brand new. We didn’t cook any meals there but the kitchen had all the amenities you would need to whip up dinner. There is even a pizza oven in the backyard! Plenty of room for everyone in the family with the living room and family room. You will be surprised at what my husbands favorite thing about the house was….the record player with tons of super cool “beach tune” vinyl records! I think he listened to every single record! What great memories we made in Pacific Beach at the Boho Oasis!

We are so thankful for the hospitality from our host, the property and our time spent there. We enjoyed our time with our little family, absolutely adored the home and thoroughly enjoyed hanging out in the backyard "Oasis"! While we did explore lots of La Jolla and the San Diego Zoo, we opted for most of our relax time at the property. All of the communication and arrangements were much appreciated and went so smoothly.
