We had an amazing time on our honeymoon staying at Kasa Gaslamp! We highly recommend to anyone visiting downtown San Diego.
Transit to places like LaJolla, the beaches, Balboa Park and the Zoo were very accessible.
Our room was extremely quiet (weekdays and weeknights). Our room had a full kitchen and the bed was so comfortable!
The communication was great and check-in codes/instructions were so simple.
Such a great experience from Kasa! We will be back!

This apt hotel is bare bones in virtual management. The location is very noisy at night as it rests on top of a night club. The rooms are small & clean even if the building common area are dated and in need of updating.
I liked being a close walk to the convention center. They left a coupon for the restaurant downstairs. It's in a 1887 building so things are a little quirky to fit. I had a little suite with a bedroom that the door closed and a little separate room with couch and TV. The kitchenette was well stocked with settings for at least 5, pots pans, pasta strainer. Mini fridge, electric 2 burner, microwave, toaster, hot water pot, and coffee maker. Also a mini first aid kit and a fire extinguisher.
There is a white noise machine and ear plugs, but I was in a back room and did not need them. There is background noise from the street at night.... But I was in the heart of gaslamp. So much to do just steps away. Hop skip and jump to ballpark also.
Such a great hotel. Even being over a bar the noise wasn't noticable. Nice to be able to just walk to nearly anything from the hotel. $13 overnight parking within a few blocks
Nice and close to restaurants and bars , and really close to the convention center.
Also super easy check in / check out experience

Overall, the room is as nice. While there was a table, it only had one chair so we could not both sit to eat together. One person had to sit on the bed. The elevator was very run down and was out of order the day we left. We were on the 4th floor with large suitcases so the elevator being out of order was an issue. There was poor signage for the stairs so we went down an extra flight before realizing we needed to stop at the second floor and then take another set of stairs down the hall to get out of the hotel. The location was great which made up for the things it lacked.

Perfect location!
The stay was great! I was able to walk to the Gaslamp venue with ease. There was NO issue with noise as well.
This is an OLD Hotel, which I loved as it was so historic. Completely remodeled inside though. Amazing location in the historic Gas Lamp District. So many great places to eat all around the hotel. I was here on business & it was WAY less expensive than the big-name hotels. I will be staying here again with my wife when I come back for my nephew's graduation from USMC Boot Camp in September.
I did not get to stay there and could not cancel the stay in my Expedia account or directly with Kasa, nor was I able to get a refund. Without a cancellation, I couldn't show proper documentation for the travel insurance, which I had purchased through Expedia. So I was charged for a trip that I didn't get to take. This whole experience was terrible. Due to Expedia's difficult and unhelpful policies and systems, I will not be using them again.

Petco visit
This place has as excellent location! Some noise at night but we tolerated it is it was well documented. It could use some touch ups-bathroom door frame &walls, bathroom floor, the bedding was very wrinkled and comforter had “balls” wadding of inner stuffing. Also, the bed is extremely low to the ground!! The elevator was horrible! We used once! And hallway-well the door was off slider to “electrical.” I attempted to communicate about check out duties and I kept getting message to “take trash out but not necessary!” We left earlier than expected and wanted to do everything the night before; I finally called the 3rd party and they informed me plus then I got more info night before. The “no front desk” is odd.
Would I stay here again? Probably due to location as we were there for baseball games.

I would it stay here!
Horrible. I ended up NOT STAYING, the building is run down. The building has a dense musty smell,I could not breathe it! The elevator looks as though it will fall apart. There is NO parking especially if there is a game nearby. I had 4 rooms reserved and had to find another place for all of us, because I would not ask my staff to stay there!
The room was cute and well-maintained. I knew going in that it was located above a bar & restaurant, but the level of noise until 2:00am - 3:00am couldn't even begin to be drowned out by the earplugs provided on the nightstand. I also sleep with the tv on, which would've helped with the outside noise levels, but that wasn't possible with the only option for tv being to stream video from my phone through a horrible internet connection there. The Chromecast constantly disconnected, as well as the internet constantly buffering.
I was in town for a convention at the convention center several blocks away, but checked out 2 days early after 2 nights of little sleep and having to walk around homeless people and vomit on the sidewalks. Again, their room was nice, but the area was overall gross.

An excellent suite in a great location.
An excellent suite with a separate kitchen and living room which I wasn’t expecting. Right in the middle of the gaslamp quarter, which is quite a noisy area, but I had no problem with street noise possibly because my room was on the top floor. A great location, only 5 minute walk from Petco Park.
Great location in the heart of the Gaslamp district, close to everything. Although it’s an older property and the entrance and elevator is basic, the unit was comfortable with beautiful skylights in the kitchen and living room. The unit was well stocked for anything we needed. Towels and bedding were clean and good quality. The WiFi worked well. It’s noisy at night but earplugs were provided. Tons of eating options for every budget right outside but not much nearby in terms of groceries. Enjoyed the stay! Thanks!
