Pretty disappointed that the pool is closed without notice. Would have changed our booking. Gross bathrooms, things are pretty ragged.
I would not choose this hotel for my first choice the rooms are ok the beds and pillows are not that comfortable the AC is not good there’s always a flashing light that goes off all night from the smoke detector I’m the room it was the worse
We loved our stay at Homewood Suites! We had just spent 3 days/nights at Disneyland with our three kids in a pretty cramped room so the space of our suite was so nice! The staff was really nice, the breakfast was great and overall, the price was so affordable. Great value!

Property was about 10-15 mins away from most places we visited, which is very convenient. The room itself feels a dirty and old.
As a former SD resident it was easy to get around from this hotel. It was tucked away from the hotel and a little hard to find as Google maps took us to the Hilton, but it was close driving distance to dining options and shopping and a great midway between SDSU and downtown. Super close to SD Zoo and Balboa park.
This rooms in this location are not as nice as other Homewood Suites we’ve been to. This is an older hotel that needs some upgrades
Horrible experience. Room was not ready when I checked in (which was WAY after 3pm), broken water main pipe for entire hotel left us (and many hotels) without water for hours. Hotel room came with dirty dishes (they did not run the dish washer before arrived) Multiple things broken in the unit and around the hotel (dresser drawers, door framing around bathroom coming out of the wall, ice machine, water cooler in gym, missing hand weights in the gym). hotel staff apathetic about everything we reported.
Paid for the room. Upon arrival at night, I was told the room was not available and I had to go another hotel in the middle of the night with kids.
Upon first entering our room we found a used BLOODY TAMPON in the trash bin in the bathroom. Absolutely disgusting. There was also a large wet area in the carpet in the bedroom.
We like everything about this hotel. We frequent San Diego quite often due to our daughter being a student at SDSU. The location is great!
