Super clean hotel and nice staff. Sadly, not getting much for the price. Small room with "full" size beds made for an uncomfortable experience. No free breakfast and not even coffee in the room. Won't be staying here again.

Clean, quiet, comfortable plus a great location to see the sites. The turn off for us was that we were bothered multiple times a day by a salesman trying to push there vacation properties.

At 9:38 pm on the night of my stay - the Republic called to let me know that they didn't have room for me at their hotel [despite me calling that morning to confirm the room with Marriott - and that it was prepaid thru Orbitz]. They changed my hotel to the Residence Inn on 1747 Pacific Highway. The hotel - and my room - was right next to the railroad tracks - going all night. I had a 6 am flight - so didn't get to bed until 11 pm and had the train disrupting my night until the alarm went of at 4:30. Not a great experience.

Upon arrival we were met at curbside immediately by the valet who set the tone for our stay. He contacted the bell captain & ushered us into the hotel's up to the front desk where we were greeted by the most hospitable & welcoming staff. Our room was immaculate. We visited the lobby restaurant on our 2nd night, great music, awesome food, excellent service. The professionalism & friendliness of the entire staff and the accommodations guranteed we will add this hotel to our referred stay location on our future visits to San Diego.

I didnt think paying for the upgraded King Executive corner room was worth it. The room seemed no bigger than a standard sized hotel room.

Their staff and facilities are amazing! Food was great! Location was excellent!

Recently renovated hotel. Rooms are very small, no water pressure on the showe and service was slow, 40 minutes to get a towel.

Very warm and welcoming both the lobby and the staff. Great beds, liked choice of bath products. Restaurant/bar offered great menus and wonderful lattes. Will return on next visit

good location good to many great restraints and downtown area.

Great location, nice staff and cleanliness everywhere. The only thing is that Wi Fi, according to my reservation through Orbitz is supposed to be free and they charge nearly 10 dollars per day unless you’re member of the hotel chain .

There is nothing I would change about this hotel! The location was absolutely perfect. We were able to walk to Gaslamp, Little Italy, Seaport Village, etc. The staff was more than accommodating. We had a group of 4 (two rooms) and initially asked in our booking to be near one another. We immediately received email confirmation directly from the hotel acknowledging our request, and we were able to have rooms right next to one another. Also, when we checked in, we mentioned that our stay was for a quick girls' weekend, and the next night we had Prosecco and chocolate covered strawberries, with a sweet card waiting for us. The decor was perfection, and the rooms were perfectly clean. Great stay!

The rooms were not equipped with a microwave. The was no pool on site.

Liked the staff, location and the room. But didn't like having to pay $10 for wifi or the hard sell every time we walked through the lobby for some kind of Marriott program. Annoying.

Perfect location, clean room. The Top ( forget the name, but the 2nd floor veranda bar) was closed "for weather" although it was a beautiful night, amd that was a shame. No dinner room service was a let down. The shower gets water EVERYWHERE. But all in all, a nice place with helpful staff

Dear Brian, I want to sincerely apologize for the experience you had with the hotel being oversold and you being relocated to another property that was unacceptable. I have followed up with my team on your experience. Please feel free to contact me at the hotel.
