The pictures and info on Orbitz were not accurate.I"m not sure that room was even from that hotel. There is NO parking around there, and we were misguided because Orbitz said FREE PARKING. There are only a few spots for the whole building. We found a used Qtip on the floor next to the bed when we got in the room. Had to park blocks away, and my husband had just had pacemaker surgery. We had to carry our belongings for blocks down the street, it was awful. The place was old and run down, kind of sad. Would never stay there again.
It was descent. People were nice which was what evened out.
Great location and walking distance to a lot. "Free Parking" is very limited on site. I had to fight for a spot out in the streets most nights because the small hotel lot was almost always full. Inside is dingy and not very clean. Security door didn't close and latch on its own. But near a lot of fun, if you can put up with that other stuff.
Room near public Balcony, guests used balcony as a smoking area and chatting until 1 AM. No Central air, cigarette smoke. Noisy, near airport fly. Needs painting, especially the window sill, toilet seat not bolted sturdy and not the right fit for the toilet, did not clean the toilet well, found pubic hair at the base when lifting the seat up, drawers are hanging out and one was stuck, furniture look worn out, carpet looks stained. Parking is absolutely horrible that guests parked in the only handicap spot without the handicap card. Staff was pleasant.
Exhaust fan was broken, tv was not working, ac diffuser was broken, light bulb was burned, refrigerator and microwave have never been cleaned
Great central location to the bay, shops, Little Italy and the airport.
this was supposes to be a none smoking Hotel, but not only was i surprised by a extra charge for a none smoking fee but my room 215 was at the end of the hallway the outside door was propped open by a bag of cement where others would sit out there to smoke. this smoke filled the hallway and my room when i called late at night after coming back to my room my phone was not working. this was one miserable stay. at check out the attendant gave me the impression it was my issue that i didn't call them on a phone that doesn't work. the place and room was very clean very little parking if you get stuck parking on the street you must move you car at 6am for the street sweeper
great experience! The lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful with any questions!
This should be clearly stated. This hotel's only saving grace is its location.
The front desk girl was great! Other than that, it was terrible! I guess you get what you pay for. Since I was just gonna be there to get a couple of hours sleep, not an huge deal 3 mins from car rental return and airport. But, DO NOT STAY THERE OTHERWISE. I couldn't even get them to print off a boarding pass, it was just ickey! The best thing they had going for it was the gal that was so helpful as to where to eat, she tried to be accommodating, but with nothing to work with, that was impossible. Oh, and construction in every corner. The contential breakfast wasnt happening, even if it was, I would pass.
Rented a room last evening. Was only able to remain in the roomorning less than 2 hours before the mold in the room made my wife sick. Management essentially said, "too bad, you are not getting a refund".
Clean rooms great pillows Hotel needs updates Parking is limited Staff loud in hallway early mornings. .NOT COOL will not be returning
The hotel was extremely clean, which is my greatest requirement. The room was small, but it served all my needs. I was within walking distance to accessing all of my needs, including a Seven Eleven for snacks and toiletries, superb restaurants, transportation, and only a few blocks from the Bay. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made my stay feel safe and comfortable. As a single woman traveling alone, the hotel and its location were perfect for me! I will stay there again!!
The walls are so very, very thin. Nice accommodation, no room to walk around though. I couldn't sleep, so I was going to go for a walk - the entire floors 3 & 4 were pitch black. The staff rude and unhelpful. So extremely disappointing seeing as how Little Italy is right there and so full of life, and the Bay just beautiful at sunset. Had it been nicer accommodations, I'd have stayed longer.
I fly in from Iraq for two weeks. After 24 hours on the plane, it was a wonderful feeling walking into my hotel room. The hotel Manager was awesome!
First, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The pictures on the website are nothing like the actual hotel. We're not sure why they use the word "suite" because the room is nothing more than a hotel room, however, there is a microwave and small refrigerator, which were nice to have. The ice "bucket" was a plastic tub that ice cream comes in. The room didn't even have a clock. On a positive note. It is very cheap considering the prices of San Diego hotels. They do indeed offer free parking and the location is great; less than a block from Little Italy.
Toilet ran all night, no outlets or desk in the rooms. Directly under the flight path of planes landing and taking off. Not a good place to try to get some sleep.
This property has its own parking lot which is a plus but not guaranteed it's on a first come basis. It is close to shops and restaurants that are within walking distance. It is close to interstate 5 with easy access north and sound bound. It is close to the airport less than 2 miles. It is a short distance by car to Coronado or you can walk to the harbor and take a ferry across. The beds and pillows are comfy. The building is secure with inside room access which was another plus. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Great place an excellent location , very centre!, and close to airport, downtown, airport and many attraction s in and around the city....
The room was clean but tiny. The AC on low would come on periodically, one moment you are hot, then cold, then hot again... Not a fan of anyone wanting to scan my drivers license. next time I'll look more closely to see if the place where I am staying require my personal information to be scanned. The big positive was being so close to little Italy, this area of San Diego is a must to visit.
