The accommodations were perfect for a weekend getaway. The spacious one room suite offers a sitting area with a full kitchen. Everything was clean!!! There property is idea for business travelers, couples, and families.
We stayed at the Residence Inn because of some friends that were coming down to visit. They allowed my friends to check-in without me having to be physically present because of my work schedule (completely hassle free). The hotel was wonderful, the rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming, we will stay again for future trips to Richmond!
This was our first visit to this great property and we'll definitely be back. Great location, amenities, and people...highly-recommended! We're Marriott Rewards Platinum (great program) and stay in a lot of hotels.
I have been in the hospitality business for ten years. I worked for a few hotels in the hilton family until I found my home at an award winning Hampton Inn in VA. To say the least I know the ins and outs of the business and what to look for in terms of hospitality and cleanliness. I can honestly say without hesitation that this is one of the best hotels I have stayed at! The property is not brand new but is very well kept. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our every need was met. My family was in town for my graduation from VCU. I expected a very busy hectic weekend and prayed that the hotel stay went smooth especially because we had our two beloved dogs with us who have never traveled and are VERY anxious. Linda the front desk manager called me ahead of time to inquire about a room change. She was very friendly and you could hear the excitement in her voice! Colin and Cara greeted us upon checkin with warm smiles and congratulated. Cara went above and beyond for my family. We seemed to constantly need things but she cheerfully assisted each and every time. I met Cullen the night auditor at 3:00 a.m. when I took my very annoying anxiety ridden dogs on a walk and forgot the key card! He was truly a breath of fresh air and made the whole situation tolerable. Even housekeeping and maintenance were very accommodating. Our housekeeper (I believe her name was Pam) accommodated our late check out and even asked if we needed extra trash bags and asked if we needed any assistance! The first night our a/c broke, maintenance man was at our door in 3 minutes. Took him a total of 15minutes to fix and voila AIR! I do not remember his name unfortunately!I also spoke with a Glynis who was oh so lovely and pleasant! This is defnitely the hotel you need to be if traveling to Short Pump!
In town with family for my daughter's college graduation. Hotel staff was very accomodating to our needs. Extremely welcoming and inviting. We had a number of rooms and Ms Linda Davis was very easy to work with. Plan to stay again at this hotel.
I was visiting my sister, who lives in Richmond, with two of our cousins. One cousin was sharing a room with me, the other cousin had her own room. We checked into the hotel on Tuesday, April 25. My cousin, who was not staying in my room, discoverd ants in her room and had to be moved to another room at 11:30 pm. When I went to use the coffee maker in my room, there were used coffee grounds in the coffee pot. We left the hotel each morning around 10:00 and did not return until after dinner. When we returned to our room on Thursday, we had not received any housekeeping services. No bed made, no clean towels. I went to the desk to ask for clean towels and was told that it had been noted that we had the "No Service" sign on our door. We did not have this sign on our door at any time during the 8 days that we were at the hotel. On Saturday, our sheets had not been changed since we had been there so I ask one of the housekeeping employees if we could please have clean sheets. When we returned that evening, our sheets had not been changed. Sunday morning, I went to the front desk to ask how often the sheets were to be changed. I was told every 3 days for long stay guest. I told the Linda that our sheets had not been changed since we had been there which was 5 days. She said she would see that we got clean sheets and when we returned that evening, we did have clean sheets. When we returned to the hotel on the evening of Tuesday, May 2 we not had housekeeping service. Once again I went to the front desk to get clean towels. One day I went into the ladies restroom in the lobby and there was no soap or paper towels. They have a real problem at this property with their housekeeping staff. We were assured that there would be a meeting of all employees but, I don't know if that will help because some of these ladies did not speak English. All of the people at the front desk; Colin, Linda and Cara were very nice and helpful. Also, the young lady who prepared the breakfast,Michele, was very sweet and helpful. We stay at Marriott properties often and this is not the kind of service that we expect or normally receive.
Stay at many Marriott properties and quite often at Residence Inns. This one is always good - but this time, the staff were sooooo nice, I had to do a review. They juggled checkin, special requests, upgrade room changes, and phone calls with smiles and competence. The GM should clone the staff! And, the room was super clean - 2 br with fireplace.... Thanks!
This hotel has easy on and off of I64, and it is within blocks of W Broad St. And about 10 minutes to Short Pump Town Center. We stayed for 7 nights and used it as a hub to travel the area.as such r here was a long term rate. The bed is separated from the desk, work area, sitting area, and kitchenrtte. Breakfast was included, and is standard for Springhill. We found the housekeeping to be good.
this hotel can be anything you want it to be; business or family. We arrived late and they had our room ready and waiting. A great breakfast. Clean rooms and good staff Convenient to major roads as well.
