We were staying there for a wedding (we were with a wedding group), we had booked months in advance. when we arrived they informed us there were no non smoking rooms left because they were doing construction (which they have known for months) and would have to put us in a smoking room. If they knew that there were no non smoking rooms left they should have called us and cancelled our room so we could have booked with a better hotel. Our clothing stunk of smoke, the room was so out dated and dirty, the windows were so stained with smoke. we coughed all night long and our eyes were sore. We will never stay at this hotel again.
Stayed here for a conference paid for by my work. If I had spent any of my own money I wouldn't have been impressed but it was fine for a free trip. First we had been booked into a smoking room through some miscommunication but they were able to transfer us to a non-smoking room. This was very much appreciated although it took quite long because the front desk girl was new and had to keep getting help from her manager. No big deal. A down-side was no one warned us that the air conditioning in the building wasn't working so the pool and area was closed for our first day due to the high heat. Later when we were able to see the pool and area it was very nice. The fit centre and the pool are in the same room so I see it being a bit warm for workouts even with the air exchange working. The self-serve laundry is also there. Then our room was very warm and didn't cool down. The room was clean and was about as spacious as a typical hotel room. It was very quiet, we didn't hear anyone when we were in our room. It was nice to have snack and pop machines available was well. Our door did not close very well so we had to keep slamming it as we went in and out -sorry neighbors! It was great to have a fridge and microwave! My bed was hollow in the middle so the mattress must have been old. Not the most comfortable hotel sleep ever. Our conference was in the Oak Room which was very nice, no complaints except again, the heat. Then when they got the a/c fixed it went right to freezing cold. I did see a maintenance worker come and fix it and it took some time but we finally got to a decent temperature. They are doing some significant renovations to a couple of the floors so that is probably good. Our second morning though I heard drilling at about 7:15 in the morning, not very welcome at that time of day. We had breakfast and lunch both provided on two days. The food was all very good! I would have liked to see some sort of labeling on the food though as sometimes we didn't know exactly what we were eating. The servers were excellent and were prompt in clearing away our dishes and keeping our water pitchers refilled. We were able to spend some time in a hospitality room which was good to have to socialize after the conference. It must have been on a smoking floor or previously smoking floor as the smell was unmistakable. The spiral staircase was pretty cool. The underground parking was great. It was nice to be within walking distance of the Cornwall Centre, and so many restaurants downtown. So overall it was fine, the conference was excellent. However if I had paid myself I would have wanted a partial refund due to the heat in our room and the pool being closed the first day.
This hotel is not worth the money. It was very expensive and you pay for everything - parking , breakfast, extra cot. Our towels were dirty and stained, fridge froze everything and on checking to find the control it was on the back of fridge and it was very dirty and gross.
Nice and quiet. Good price. Bed was super comfy. I like that you need a card to get up to a certain floor, keeps intruders away. Had a nice relaxing night. And I like that it's right downtown close to where my business meeting was.
The hotel is in a very convenient location downtown, easy to get to, easy access to shopping and entertainment venues, convenient parking. Room rates were good, conference rooms and facilities such as the audio/visual system were up to standard. Meals provided for delegates were generous, and of good quality. A few people banging around at 1:30 am to get ice from the machine which was close to my door, which happens. Maybe the machine could be relocated into a more soundproof vestibule or something. Other than that, no issues.
Hotel is within walking distance of hospital. Good parking under hotel. Staff was courteous and efficient. Best hamburger at restaurant but breakfast was bland.
Front desk is very rude,I have booked for 3 days and second day they disabled my both access cards got stuck in lift as it ask for card access, then went on 10th floor and again had to come down to main floor.Front desk with name Alana said its normal to get disable card l,she gave example of credit card getting disabled.I asked how come both cards gets disabled before checkout. She said don't worry not a big deal.
Poor room, poorer service. Wall paper was peeling, sink vanity was rusty, window seals were gone and could barely see outside and Tv did not have sound. Called the front desk to let them know and asked to be moved rooms. They said they would get back to me but never did. Went for a dip in the main pool with some friends, we ALL had reactions to the chemicals. Upon checkout they tried to charge me for parking even though I didn't have a vehicle (after the headache of debating it was removed). Would not stay here again.
Was not informed about the $15 parking fees till I got the bill in the morning. Vehicle didn’t fit underground so had to park out back and walk all the way around the building. No rear entrance to the lobby.
I cannot say enough positive comments about the amazing service that the Ramada staff gave our family. They went above and beyond to make this contest the most memorable. Between the front desk, room service, and guest experience, truly amazing all the way around. I entered an Easter contest and won, and they truly gave my family more than anymore could ask for. The hotel was quiet, clean, and more than expected. Thank you so much for everything.
