Amber adult section was definitely the way to go. You get cabanas, a butler, a lounge that has great drinks and is quiet! Was family friendly for sure-even more so than we were expecting. Staff was amazing!!!

Overall stay was good! Lots of activities that the kids loved. Staff was friendly although seemed to be a bit short staffed, we often had to wait for staff to sign out games or activities for the kids to use. The A La carte restaurants were decent but we were disappointed in the breakfast and lunch options. These were limited and the buffet options never changed. The rooms were very nice and the bunk beds were a hit with the kids!

Don’t book! This will ruin your vacation. The beach is unacceptable. They have a net out in the sea that is supposed to keep away sargassum, but the net needs to be cleaned. Apparently, it’s never been cleaned so the water between the net and the beach is all boiling seaweed and trash. The amount of seaweed is unbelievable, you can’t even go in the water cause it could be dangerous. And I’m sure that if the water was tested it would not be allowed to swim in. Because of that the beach is all covered in seaweed. They will tell you that it’s nature, but believe me it’s not. We were there in low to no sargassum season and the hotel 5 minutes from there had no seaweed. This particular hotel and the one next door have that issue because of the net in the sea and lack of cleaning. In order to maintain that beach it needs to be cleaned throughout the day. There were rotten coconuts and plastic cups all over the beach. Another issue was the pool, it was ice cold. Not acceptable for leisure pool in a 5 star hotel especially since the beach is not usable. There were several safety issues:the door in kids club is old and all broken that you can hardly open it (in case of emergency not possible to open), the freshness of the food in the buffet was questionable (it looked bad), hotel lacks maintenance . I asked other hotel guests(stayed there 7+ days) about these issues and they all confirmed that these issues are ongoing and there was no day it would be different
The water is boiling seaweed and trash. You can even see that the water behind the net is cleaner

We really enjoyed the spa! We got couple massages and the staff was great. Before booking please know this is a kid friendly resort, if you are looking for quietness please note they make it really enjoyable for the kids so there will be kids. They do have an adult area.

When we arrived after the first day I would have probably left a 5 star review. Hotel and room were clean so I have to give credit there. Where they come up short is the buffet has no variety. We were there for 7 days and it never changed. The only 2 good spots for food were the italian and the steakhouse. Mexican restaurant was average. Minibar fridge got restocked 1 time all week even though i requested it 3-4 times. Pool service was below average. They didnt have enough people working. The guys that were there worked hard. Not enough pools for how many rooms the hotel has. It was between 40-50% capacity and all the lounges were taken by 10am. I had a manager come out and tell me i cant have the umbrella open because it was too windy and that if i had it open it would become my liability if it fell over. That would have been reasonable except for there was maybe 5mph breeze. Also no more than 15 minute later most umbrellas were opened by employees. The wind was same all day, just a power trip by manager. Overall its a decent hotel but they dont treat you very well. I tipped decently so that shouldnt have been an issue.

Room not spotless. But decent clean. It clearly needs a bit of maintenance you can see the walls chipped and the bed sheets look a bit old and overused.
I really had high expectations of this relatively new hotel. But it looks older, amenities looked not well maintained. The kids club has a humidity smell and its dark and again.. it needs taken care off and to be cleaned.

Our room was amazing (Ruby Suite) - roomy, incredible views, clean, and comfy. The whole resort was clean, inviting, and lovely. Spa was excellent (though sauna wasn't working while we were there) - enjoyed an amazing massage, hot tubs, pool, steam room, tea, snacks. Was able to get a beach cabana daily (have to get out there early to claim yours) and thoroughly enjoyed the adults only pool and hot tub directly adjacent to the beach. Staff were very attentive. Sargassum was an issue, so didn't spend much time in the ocean, but that's no fault of the resort. The only thing I'd say was marginal was the food, but it was still good. We ate at the buffet most meals and there was considerable variety and always fresh options.

Food left a lot to be desired. It was often cold by the time you sat down. Lots of vegetables, not a lot of prepared dishes. Other resorts I've been to just had better food overall. Breakfast was decent. Every cappuccino I had, like 2 every day, were different, some great, some terrible, they ran out of milk and made it with soy milk once. The steakhouse was delicious. The other 2 restaurants were ok, just strange ingredients, like pomegranate on a Chile relleno, not bad but very different. Beach grill was ok, but crowded sometimes. The hotel itself is very nice. Very big and grand, others I have stayed at were more fun to walk around with narrow pathways, trees etc., just depends on what you prefer. The beach is covered in seaweed. They did try to clean it, but it was apparent the company that did it didn't work on the weekend, and it got real bad for a couple days. Other places i have stayed, even though they may have had rockier beaches with less sand, had clear water that is much more fun to play in, finding crabs, fish, eels, etc. No snorkeling here. Just dark seaweed water. Definitely had a great time, the staff was very nice, and it was a pretty good deal for what we got. Just don't expect the best food or the cleanest beach. The bar upstairs was cool and we got to watch the chiefs game, with pretty good nachos and wings. Kids loved the zipline and bounce area. They never opened the climbing wall when we were there, which was a bummer.
